actions speak louder than words

teeth set into her bottom lip , deterring the inevitable hiss and curses that threatened to seep through. the wound was deep , but she knew she had been lucky to come off this way. the fight had been tormenting , and they were after blood. her mind troubled her , focusing on the " what ifs " and the troubles that were ahead for her and her family. she feared for them , even peter , despite how poorly they had gotten on in the past -- they were family , and that mattered , despite how much she seethed him.

" are you hurt? " cora mumbled, wincing at the alcohol that touched her skin. she looked at him , brows furrowed together in concern.

" we are heading for war , i can sense it . "

Talia  Hale  had  been  an  ally  for  years.    After  his  𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐏𝐄  from  the  hunters,  there  was  the  need  for  sanctuary  &  for  answers  about  his  past.    It  took  him  too  far  away  from  the  comforts  of  the  bayou.    Deeper  into  where  humans  roamed  so  freely  that  they  pushed  back  𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐑𝐄  𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐋𝐅  to  manageable  pockets.    It  had  been  years  since  he  had  been  to  the  Hale  estate.    He  had  only  been  a  pup.    Barely  five.    Yet,  he  hadn’t  thought  to  find  the  building  a  ruin.    Old  and  falling  apart  with  scorched  timber  &  the  smell  of  death.    He  inspected  the  front  porch.    Fingers  running  along  the  grains  of  the  wood.    It  had  happened  long  ago,  yet  the  Bradbury’s  had  never  heard  of  the  damage.    𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐄'𝐒  𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍  𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄?

His  eyes  glowed  in  the  dark  like  red  beacons.    There  was  a  scent  in  the  air.   Another  wolf.    Familiar,  yet  there  had  been  a  strange  twist  to  the  aroma  that  Lincoln  could  not  place.    A  low  growl  of  warning  vibrated  from  his  throat  as  he  stepped  to  the  edge  and  glared  out  into  the  darkness.    ❛  I  can  𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐋  ya  out  d’here,  sha.    Why  not  being  all  shy,  yeah?    Step  out  so  I  can  see  y’for  myself.    If  y’friend  of  d’he  Hale’s,  you  ain’t  my  enemy.  ❜
