Bringing back Uncle Barry to say he’s 100% the Uncle who acts like he knows what he’s doing but inwardly he just “WHO THOUGHT IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO LEAVE ME IN CHARGE OF THE CHILDREN???” and his idea of a good time is like “soooo...you wanna hit this glob of blood really hard and watch it go splattering everywhere or just watch a movie?”

alrighty well finally here is a list of Uncle Barry and Dick Grayson headcanons!

Barry was the one who taught Dick most of his parkour, because acrobatics inside a circus tent are completely different from free-running across a wet rooftop with only a grapple hook that might jam to keep you safe

Dick, in response, insisted that Barry be apart of his “circus act” and even got Barry to wear some circus-inspired outfits with him

Barry can’t aim worth a dime, but for the longest time had Dick convinced that he could because he used to use his speed to guide the projectiles where they needed to go

Clark was the one who gave away the trick

Dick and Wally used to hang off of Barry’s coats/jackets All The Time, and even now, if he’s super tired after a long day, Dick will sometimes grab Barry’s sleeve and let himself be lead to bed

There’s a few angsty moments between them in my verse tbh but the main one is to do with Jason so :’)

Barry has a habit of putting himself in harms way for the younger heroes, and one time he did that for Dick and Barry ended up falling a long way down so, well, we all know what that means for Dick don’t we?

Dick’s explosive temper is something he gets from Barry. Bruce and Clark are silent when they’re angry, but Barry growls, shouts and gets right into people’s faces

Mentioned it before, but Barry was Super In Love with Dick’s Discowing suit and hugged him so tightly when he saw it that Dick legit couldn’t breathe

If Dick and Wally have an argument/falling out both of them will turn to Barry to vent and Barry is just *looks into the camera*

Won’t admit it but highkey tore up when he found out that one of the Supernova kids was named after him 

Dick shares Barry’s habit of hoarding hero merch of his friends and family

Much like Wally, Dick will bend down so Barry can ruffle his hair like when he was a kid

They go out for ice-cream a lot together

We all know about the times Barry has visited Dick’s precinct in Bludhaven lmao

yall are missing the real comedic genius behind Uncle Barry because Dick becomes a cop and Barry works with cops ergo: Dick calls Barry up and stupid times to complain about his co-workers and some of the perps he deals with and Barry kicks up his feet like “spill the beans, tell me all about it”

Barry teaches Dick and Wally how to use their kindness as a weapon. He shows them how to appear almost-naive with their kindness, an easy target, because when people see kindness they see weakness and forgot how dangerous you are. He teaches them that their kindness is no weakness, and they have nothing to be ashamed about showing it, about wearing their hearts on a sleeve. 

He teaches Dick and Wally how to preserve their kindness in a world that wants to make it burn

not to be Uncle Barry on main but DC really missed prime opportunity to have him interact and babysit Robin! Dick and also? they both work in police stations. Barry could’ve helped Dick adjust, helped him learn how to deal with different kinds of cops, how to present himself in court and keep his personal feelings in check so he doesn’t lose his temper and blow his chances of being taken seriously

they could’ve done a story where Bludhaven is understaffed and Barry gets temporarily assigned there and Dick gets to see him at work everyday and he’s so amazed at how easily Barry controls this environment. Just! Give me these two bonding please!

anyway Mar’i spells Barry’s name  “Bar’i” cuz she’s used to tamaranean alphabets and this also means she calls him “R’i-R’i”
