Ok. So I missed it by a couple of days (it was actually Friday) but I have now been roleplaying as Allan on this account for one whole year!

A massive thanks to each and every one of you who've made this so special and enjoyable over the last twelve months. I can only hope it's been as fun for you as it has for me. For every one of my partners, I hope we'll continue to talk and love and roleplay for a long time to come!

Now, special mentions for three peope who were there right from the start - our first interactions were one year ago today or yesterday.

First: craftycraftsman - where would Allan be without Will? And I certainly don't know where my Allan would be without Laura's Will. One of the most thought-out and developed muses I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with, and some cracking threads have resulted. I always have fun with Laura, and she's a wonderful person to boot.

Second: theblackknightprince - Our thread is still going strong, even though exactly a whole year has passed since the first post! I love Ash's Guy and am growing to love Thorin despite my utter lack of Tolkien knowledge. I could never wish for a sweeter, more imaginative partner or friend. And new threads are popping up all the time between us, which is brilliant to me!

Finally: undeadinmorde - Again, another thread that has been going since an entire year ago, but this time with one of the best OCs I've had the good fortune to come across. The relationship between Allan and Raven is now so multi-faceted I sometimes struggle to consider Allan without her influence. And if that isn't the sign of a fantastic partner, I don't know what is.

I shall do a real follow forever in the near future, but for now let me just say how much I love all of you. Here's to the next year.

She was one of the first people to rp with me. Now over a year later we still rp. We have an rp with over 4000 notes now, one finished and another one going towards 1000 notes. And we're still not tired of the other.

My dear friend, you are amazing. I wish you all the happiness in the world, all the smiles and success. Thank you for being amazing and thank you for sharing over one year with me.

Will hadn't seen Raven in days. Maybe it was weeks? He knew she was right - his sneaking into town was dangerous. The kind of dangerous that got you killed. When she'd suggested he no longer leave the edge of the woods with her, he couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness. It was eased with the promise of a visit, of more time together while she traveled, however.

She'd been in town for what seemed like ages. If he hadn't known she was there on real business, he'd have thought the sheriff was keeping her on purpose. Keeping her from him. He waited along the trail impatiently, hanging from trees or lounging in bushes, just waiting for a glimpse of the hem of her gown on the path.

(Sexual Sunday meme) Grinning, Raven approached with a wide grin on her face, running her hands over the waist of the outlaw's trousers. "Gentle, is not in my nature."

"Uh…" Allan stammered out, taken off-guard by the sudden appearance of Raven and they very suggestive movements of her lithe fingers. He swallowed and grinned shakily. "I know that already." he murmured.

She raised a brow softly. "We've known each other for over a year now, Crane. And still haven't guessed how I really do feel about you?" Raven shook her head and moved back towards the desk, flipping open a file.

Crane sighed. This issue kept rearing its head. “Yes yes, I know all that. But in my experience, such feelings are best dealt with by forcing them deep inside and ignoring them. Not acting on them. I don’t think giving me a Valentine’s kiss is going to help you do that. And I don’t mean to hit you with a news flash here, but I think I have made my own position clear. I have no romantic feelings to anyone. My commitment is to my work. As yours should be.”

Chuckling softly, she smiled. "No, not this time Crane. Valentine's Day is the only day love is celebrated, yes?" She held up her hands. "No tricks this time, either."

"Yes, love is celebrated. Which is why I assumed that neither of us would acknowledge it. Perhaps we should celebrate a day that celebrates professionalism. Or celebrates platonic distrust and reluctant cohesiveness. Those seem more like occasions for us.”

"It's Valentine's Day, Crane, at least let me-" Raven leaned over and quickly kissed him, and pulled back beaming.

"Uh….um….OK….you know, you never really seemed to need the excuse of Valentine’s Day before. Although this may be the first time you kissed me without it being part of some sinister plan. Unless…" He felt at the back of his neck for a syringe. "Nope, apparently not."

Every Night Has Its Dawn

It had been decades since Allan A Dale had last stepped foot inside Nottinghamshire. Of course, he'd had no reason to - the days of Robin Hood, the camp in Sherwood Forest and all who had been associated with it were long gone, along with anyone likely to recognise him from it. That was the way he preferred it, and why he never stayed in one place for any considerable amount of time. The thought made him laugh. It was remarkably similar to the way he'd lived his life a long time ago, making money from his tricks and petty thievery around England. As for the moment, he wandered the forest with the moon high in the sky and peering through the thick leaves. His hunger wasn't bothering him, given how recent his last meal had been, and his meandering path drew him in one particular direction. A place where a dark old manor had been, and a woman who'd made him question many things about his life and his attitudes. Allan smiled wryly at the memories as the house came into view, distinct against the darkness of the sky.
