*Jonathan Fanshawe’s stay in the German Haunted CastleTM is punctuated in the summer by an outbreak of typhus. After a while, Corruption shenanigans ensue, and Fanshawe has the mother of all weird and awful days. Fanshawe comes back to the house late at night after a scalding hot bath and no supper, really just hoping to get some sleep.*

Albrecht: *Archivist senses are tingling; pounces on Fanshawe the moment he gets home* Something happened; tell me what happened

Fanshawe: Albrecht, I have been dealing with contagious people all day, I am hungry and tired, let go of me

Albrecht: *dragging him towards the drawing room, fussing like a cat that knows it will get supper if it just stays underfoot long enough* After you tell me what happened

Fanshawe: I am tired and hungry and I sat in a washtub for an hour in scalding hot water and I still feel like there are lice crawling all over me get off of me and let me sleep you could get sick I already feel like I’m sick just let me sleep

Albrecht: *shoves him down on the sofa by his shoulders, fixes his best importuning look to his face* I know you’d like to tell me what happened

Fanshawe: *resolve weakening* We should really just go to bed

Albrecht: Please

*Much later, after Fanshawe has completely given in and told Albrecht everything, every last thing, they both wore themselves out, Fanshawe dragged a barely-awake Albrecht down the corridor with him but only got as far as Fanshawe’s room and just tucked him into bed with him, sitting up awake*

Fanshawe: I am a stupid bitch. *Stares down at his company for the night* A stupid, predictable bitch. *Thinks about all the times Jonah fussed and prodded and goaded like an unruly cat until Fanshawe told him stories he didn’t initially want to talk about, ever; thinks about all the times Jonah used that particular enticing tone; thinks about all the times Jonah looked at him like that* I am a stupid, predictable bitch with a type, and that type is spooky men who want to know all about the weird shit I’ve seen and hang all over me until I do and stare at me like I’m the only thing in the world while I’m telling them about it and never act like I could be making it up afterwards. I am a profoundly stupid bitch.

If one finds themselves in hard times, should they end up on the street permanently, all one had to do is simply locate the closest facility, and check in.

The procedure is entirely free, paid for in its entirety by tax payers money.

After splicing one's DNA with an animal of one's own choosing, it's a 100% guarantee that you'll be housed within a month of the change.

Adoptions are permanent, the facility takes special care in matching hybrids with their future families, as the aim of the game is to find a life long home for our new furry friends.

Over 100 years of service, the hybrid solution has shrunk the homeless population to less that 1%.

With the popularity of hybrids growing, facilities are more common than fast food joints. Meant for easy access to those who need it, the hybrid facilities are practically on every corner.

The facilities are the largest corporation of its time, with high demands for workers and volunteers.

The Hybrid Headquarters is your place of employment. You're tasked with handle the newly 'born' hybrids, ensuring the change has been successful and assisting them with coping with their new lives.

The only rule is 'don't get attached', but rules are made to be broken, no?

Erm, I mostly listen to podcasts while writing (true crime while trying to get a serious amount of work done, and switch to the fiction podcasts once I’ve gotten as far as I want to for the day, and I don’t feel the need to get too much more done), but I have compiled a playlist (a work in progress) for the TMA multi-chapter I’m outlining right now:
