The Stars in Her Eyes She dreams of a life unlived: Not all at once but at multiple times throughout a peaceful childhood, and haunting her still. She dreams of herself, but not: A person alone but growing up fast with great magical ability to be taken away. She dreams of a town in peril: And her-but-not arriving as hero to save this helpless town and pass the last test. She dreams of a fortune, such sadness: Of leaving friends to wander alone unable to say hello— Then, suddenly, nothing. She does not dream: does not know for certain, but guesses, her other-self is gone and inside she cries. She has stars in her eyes and dreams in her soul: her tears are unshed for she cannot properly mourn for someone unknown.
