A digital drawing of Nico and Jason from a scene in my fanfic The Long Way Home.

I wanted to take a more classical approach; something between an underdrawing and a finished sketch. So I leaned into expressive linework and idealized proportions.

This piece captures a quieter moment between them, and I’m thinking of illustrating more scenes in this style. Let me know what you think, or if there’s a particular scene you’d want to see visualized.

Really struggling with perspective so no one look for too long. But yeah the idea was titans and co party that I had in a dream (you know the brain rots got too much when it begins to invade your subconscious mind). Obviously got a lot to do still, but is there anything it feels it’s missing?

This version would seem to be really low quality, I do apologise.

WIP sketch for near-future watercolour use.

I wanted the snow to stick around on my current road trip for colour reference photos, the idea being to fiddle around with Sanson’s monochromatic design with winter sunset colours. The snow melted on Thursday. Going to reference a professional photo instead.

Today's Art Special is the underdrawing for a new oil painting. Last week the universe decided that I needed to know the Mystery of the Mary Celeste. At least twice a day I would either hear about or be recommended a video, podcast, or article about it until I absorbed them all. I found out that the Captain of the ship, Benjamin Briggs, was from my hometown in Massachusetts with almost the same birthday, 150 years before me. I felt a strong need to paint his portrait so I drew this based on one of the only known pictures of him. It is NOT Abraham Lincoln. .
