It breaks my heart thinking that after the first time he meets you each time, then says he’ll meet you up ahead, he probably goes back to see what path your on. Toriel not answering his knock is always the first indication that he might be about to lose his brother.

I feel like this is one of the reasons Alphys knows Sans well enough to know what he’s going to say.  I bet he spent a lot of time messing with her through that camera (then teleport and scare the beejees out of her a second later GDI Sans!). And she probably watched him talk with Toriel too.
