a borzoi lady with her basket 💛
I don’t usually sculpt clothes, so this was a fun departure from my typical creatures. the patterns are all from underglaze transfers, with a few hand painted touches.
it’s easier to tell from the back that one of these things is her tail and not a foot 😅 both feet are on her right side. I did actually sculpt both legs despite one not being visible under the skirt
underglaze transfer from elantransfers with Mayco Robin's Egg glaze
Finished! :o)
Have you ever considered having you’re designs printed as underglaze transfers for pottery? I think they’d be a total hit!
Ohhh thank you Anon! A friend recently told me this was a thing and linked me to someone who does them. Your message reminded me to check what their customs policy is. There’s a 50 minimum order per design, so it might be something I have to do as a pre-order or ‘kickstarter’-like thing to help with the upfront cost.
If you’d be interested in underglaze transfers of my patterns, please give a shout! Also, which pattern or two would be your top choice if you had to pick.
got more pigeons back. now to stick magnets to their backs
sold
How did you get the lemon and strawberry designs on your magnets? Is it painted on underglaze, or decals/silkscreens?
I can’t wait to see them finished!!
it’s an underglaze transfer from Sanbao, so it’s similar to a decal. the pattern is applied to greenware in the same way as a temporary tattoo, and becomes permanent once it goes through the first firing
and you’re in luck! I actually have a few similar ones that went through the kiln a few months ago so you get your wish immediately 😁
