“Paging Mr. Bond….”

YULIN NAVAL BASE, HAINAN, CHINA (August 18, 2020) -- A Communist Chinese Type 093 (Shang-class) nuclear-powered attack submarine photographed by a commercial satellite....as it slips into the huge underground nuclear ballistic missile submarine base here on the edge of the South China Sea.

(Sounds like something out of a classic James Bond “007″ movie!)

Two tenders (tugboats, as such) are assisting the submarine as it navigates the narrow entrance to what is understood to be a very sophisticated underground facility supporting China’s growing nuclear-powered submarine fleet. Apparently, the underground facility can handle up to 20 nuclear-powered submarines.

The secretive base is located at the point in Chinese territory that is closest to the continental shelf....thus providing relatively easy, and stealthy, access for the submarines.

Communist Chinese Type 093 (Shang-class) nuclear-powered attack submarine. (China has six of this class of submarine in their fleet.)

(Rest assured Agent 007′s modern contemporaries are hot on this!)
