Peter has many favorite celebrities, but he won’t admit it.
One of his favorite celebrity is Tony Stark, and as I said, he would never admit it in front of anyone, not even Tony.
May Parker, who has seen Peter growing up wearing his Ironman pajamas, ironman posters all over his room and Ironman merchandise. She would tease Peter about that one time he begged May 24/7 straight for a whole month to go to the stark expo when he was 7 years old.
One day, Peter was in the Stark Tower making web shooter upgrades in the lab. He was on call with May the whole time, because Tony went to an emergency meeting like three hours ago.
May: “Babyyy, are you having a good time with Tony?”
Peter: “No, he’s not here right now. He’ll be back soon, though.”
May: “Where is he? The Stark Expo? Did you beg to go? I’m sure he’d give you a VIP seat if you begged him, like you begged me for a whole month when you were seven.”
Peter: “Staaaaawp, May! First, he’s just busy. Second, I did NOT beg, and I never will. Third, that would be unfair to everyone else. I can’t just—like—get VIP tickets handed to me. Nope. No way. Never.”
Peter shook his head so hard his curls bounced, muttering to himself.
A voice suddenly cut in, casual and far too close.
Tony, right beside Peter: “Hey kid, what are you talking about?”
Peter flinched, hang up on his phone too hard that he almost broke his screen.
Peter: “Mr. Sta-Stark, it’s nothing, re-really.”
Tony: “You sure? You said on the call you want to go where?”
Peter: “N-No I mean- I meant the concert actually. The concert— yeah, the concert.”
Tony: “The concert???? Geez kid, are you underestimating my powers???? I’m Tony Stark, the billionaire. I could definitely get you the rock zone ticket or whatever you kids call that in a few calls. Yeah, I’m definitely getting you the tickets.”
FRIDAY: Mr. Stark, your requested concert tickets have been secured. Front row. Backstage access included.
Peter’s head snapped up: “Wait—you actually got them???”
Tony: “What, you thought I was bluffing? Please. When Tony Stark says you’re getting rock zone seats, you’re getting rock zone seats.”
Few days later, Peter attending the concert, with Tony, “for supervision purposes” he claimed.
Halfway through the second song, Peter’s phone started buzzing in his pocket. He fumbled it out, the ringtone blaring above the music, earning a couple annoyed looks from the fans crushed beside him.
Peter (yelling over the music): “Sorry! Sorry! Didn’t know the sound was on—”
As he shoved the phone back into his pocket, it hit him. His ringtone had played out loud. Which meant…
Back in the lab, when he was on the phone with May—his ringtone never went off over speaker.
Because… because the speakerphone was on all the time.
Peter blinked. The noise of the crowd and the band seemed to fade in his ears.
Tony clapped him on the back, laughing over the music.
Tony: “Cheer up, kid. You’re living the dream. Concert tickets, backstage passes, and your embarrassing childhood hero sitting right next to you. Doesn’t get better than this.”
