No one wishes you good luck.
No one asks how your day was.
No one asks because no one cares.
That’s what being alone is.
Don’t tell me it’s all in my mind.
Actions speak just as loud as the words you don’t say.

I have my final medical exams to finish up med school in 6 months. Obviously I just need to review everything from the last 4 years but that seems like a mountain. Any tips?

First, very good luck! Make sure you take care of yourself during this period, I know it can be stressful and so, I want you to put yourself and your mental health before your studies!
As for tips for that kind of exam, I still haven’t got to that point in my journey. I feel like every country’s exam is different and so, it requires different techniques and study methods, adding to your own kind of study preference. I would recommend you to talk to older students you might know, ask them how they have done it. You can also chat with your peers and see what they are doing, what their struggles are and help each other along the way. I know it sounds easier said than done, sometimes our colleagues don’t like to share their tips and tricks but I am sure you know someone who is different than that! Also, it helps a lot to have someone by your side that understands what you are going through and keep in mind, you still need that social interaction!
I know this might not be what you were looking for in an answer but I don’t feel like I have enough knowledge or information about your journey to guide you in such an important step. However, do you have any bibliography for your exam? Start from there! If they’re the same as classes you had, go through your past notes for concise information. And remember what you’ve witnessed in your hospital hours throughout the years! It doesn’t matter if you did shifts as an intern or if you only had 3 hours per week in each class. For me at least, I find it rather easier to retain information and to think quicker when I remember patients or cases I observed.
I wish you the best of luck in this journey and for your exams! Don’t doubt yourself and remember you are almost a doctor! All the work is paying off really quickly!
Day 5 of 100 Days of Productivity. Today I started my study for Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Feeling really motivated! This is my page on foetal circulation. It’s my first time doing hand written notes in a long time and his one even included a diagram. Feeling very proud of myself :)
My name is Kaitlyn. My favourite colour is burgundy red. My favourite ship is Pam and Jim from The Office, although I'm a sucker for trashy television so I have a lot of other ships! Cookies and creme always and forever, especially if it's got cookie dough in it too (my mouth is already watering). I have 2 cats that I share with my roomie/bestie - Socrates and Koda. There initials match ours and I'm utterly obsessed. Socrates is very much like me, an old soul and anxious and Koda is a daredevil.
Hi Kaitlyn!! Cookies and creme with cookie dough sound AMAZING. Have you ever tried Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked? It has huge chunks of gooey brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough. Definitely not cookies and creme with cookie dough but pretty damn close! Pam and Jim are honestly goals! Your cats’ names are so cute and I’m really feeling the old soul thing!
Day 2 of 100 Days of Productivity. It’s my week off so I took myself out to breakfast and took my Mac to do some organising while I enjoyed warm beverages and being out of the house. I could definitely get on board with studying in a cafe, it was lovely!
