Okay so i know i shouldn't self diagnose. I usually don't but when it's something I've had for most of my life and still struggle with...i'm so glad i finally have a dam name to it.
I have trouble doing math period. I am 23 yrs old and i have trouble with most math. (I annoy my DnD games because i have to write down the numbers to add or subtract damage or else it takes me 15 minutes to figure out in my head) I didn't "learn" my times tables till middle school...i still have trouble with it. I only did well in math in elementary because i memorized how to do things I never understood the concept of math or why we were doing math. (Visual help was a godsend when the teacher used cubes to teach us 1s 10, 100s 1000s i was so happy i could understand).
I took the cbset twice because i couldn't understand the math part and i was guessing a lot of the time. (YES i studied for about 6 months trying to wrap my head around concepts higher than division FUCK YOU FRACTIONS). I only passed the second time because most of the problems I got were word problems so i could visualize them better.
I am the person who adds a dollar per item for tax (if the items are a dollar). If they are any mroe than that i start adding crazy amounts. (i added $50 to a $100 dollar item once...i had a hard time with that one).
I had a hard time in my logic class in college because it was me learning a whole new system with a whole new set of letters. I felt like i was in kindergarten that year.
