Let's hold each other. ; u ; Falling for Jongsuk this year has led to such memorable dramas with awesome characters that whatever comes after this will feel like a letdown. Maybe I should just rewatch IHYV and School.

And honestly, Soosung is only a tiny facet of my feelings for this drama universe. Cha-byun and Doyeon and their valiant, triumphant rise into terrific second leads who are not only unhateful, but downright noble and badass. Shin-byun and Judge Fan who show stunning depth despite being comic foils. Min Joon Kook and how we should pity him but not excuse him, Best Mother Ever (and Doyeon's mom is pretty badass too) for representing everything good in her down-to-earth, Saturi way.

Even the bad things can be discussed, how the extension ruined pacing... how product placement is hilariously prevalent after the drama became huge. I can go on and on and on and on.

I feel your feels. Their devotion to one another was so real it made you feel a little bit of envy. *sighs* *cries* *HUGS* and repeat

It was like, where can I find this? Will I ever find this? And also... *snuggles the both of them forever*. There are many really great reviews in Chinese, and the main thesis of one of them was like, if you can't be a Jang Hyesung, don't complain that you don't get a Park Sooha. Which is true, if depressing. Not everyone can testify for a stranger at the age 16, and not everyone can run towards a knife to protect someone else's soul...

When some Heungsoon fan denied to watch IHYV becoz they can’t stand watching JS with a woman, i feel pretty sad. I did believe he would be only a second lead at that time, but just from ep 2, i’ve already rooted for his love.

Ep after ep, their relationship grows deep in me as I always adore the not-only-lover kind of love. Thanks Jo for these beautiful words which I couldn’t write.

My post was not aimed at anyone in particular, but I have heard of Heungsoon shippers not watching IHYV for that reason too, and I must say to each it's own (though I do think it is a loss to not watch one of the best kdramas of recent memory because you can't separate fictional universes). Perhaps they will have the same struggle when they see Woobin romancing Park Shin Hye (?) in Heirs, to be fair and all.

If you do write something in your native tongue, I will run it through Google Translate to read it!! ♥ I have been basically saving every nice IHYV review I can get my hands on for the last three days. Also comtemplating translating some Chinese reviews.

I had that feeling that the end was not taken "seriously". I don't know if it was bcs of ep.17 that was the real end for most of ppl, or bcs of other news as u mention...but I felt sad that even my friends didn't enjoy and love the end as me ._.

Nod. This series awoke a lot of positive feelings for myself and I had wanted to see other (more brilliant) people write up their reviews dissecting the series this way and that. There are a few Korean articles that did it, but I am finding it hard to translate them well enough to publish. >:|  So here I was stewing in my feels, looking at the IHYV gifsets made by everyone, and just suddenly decided to write this post, despite fever and etc.

What problems did your friends have with the ending, per se? Did they feel that it was not exciting enough?

Yes. Park Hye-ryun has my undivided attention for now. All in all, I am a sucker for tragedies and it is taking me completely by surprise how a wholesome, warm series is taking over my heart. The writer and director and music director, and of course the staff and cast deserve a big round of applause for pulling it off, and giving us such a wonderful summer.
