You know what‘s highly underused in the whump community in my opinion?
Shame
Whumpee being ashamed! Of how they act. Of how they acted. Of how they broke. Of how they talked. Of how they begged. Of trusting the wrong person! Of not getting help. Of being weak!
Whumpees being ashamed!!
Make them hate themselves. Make them unable to live with themselves because they‘re gagging on the shame and memories that will never let go of them. Of the knowledge that rots their brain now and forever.
Suits preveiling issue
Suits is a GREAT show, that doesn't mean however, it's flawless. I prefer to talk about what's great, but I need to get it out of my system:
So many underused characters:
"You never forget your first"
Vivienne was witty, badass and posed a great challange to the main characters, especially unexperienced Mike Ross. She lost her case only because her client was bad at covering tracks, but with better clients she had the potential even for toe-to-toe fights with Harvey himself. And her face says it all, she was a lawyer on her clients side, but she was greatly displeased with his acions. They genuenly wrote a complex, high states opponent for Mike, only to never even mention her again. She should appear more often and take a place on at least one major plot line. What a waste.
"I'm good with computers"
Ahh, Lola Jensen, genius in her own accord, for a character that appeared for one episode and was mentioned phew times after, let's not forget she was responsible for how long Mike could keep his secret. With her being one of the most important fillars of Mike's secret, you would assume she would play far greater role. And not to hate on Rachel x Mike ship, I genuenly believe Lola and Mike could take a great romantic route. I know they kinda replaced her role of "IT guy" (pun intented) with Benjamin, who was a great addicion to the show, but still think Lola had tons of writing potential on almost every front, as a genius hacker working for a firm, as a potential friend and lover of Mike AND as a catalist for many more cases regarding both defending her from her own acions and her trying to come after another companies.
"Rick Sorkin?"
Come on, Really, wouldn't it be hilarious if he showed up at some point? Like, imagine Mike takes a case, get's into it and faces opposing attorney only to find out, Rick Sorkin is beating his ass. Or he shows up at interview to get a job in a firm. The potential writers never explored only to give us a throaway joke about apartment renting.
Can't think of anyone more for a moment, but I'm preety sure at some point I will look at this post and think "Should have added x". So what's your underused character of the series? Or maybe you think there is other flaw that was worse?

I see the Realizing What You've Created Is A Monster trope, but it's a bit overused, and so I present you with What You've Created Realizes You're A Monster (Because you created it and it may be a monster but you're the one who thought it up Because of the lengths you went to to create and protect it)
