Ensconce (they/them)
Notes: They have two pairs of arms but often tuck their first pair under whatever wrappings they select to shroud their face.
Their face is always obscured!! If not by wrappings or shadow, then by the angle of the shot, by an object or, if need be, by their hands.
Their shell has a dull sheen when light falls on it.
Much like the other long bugs we see in Pharloom, Ensconce is a collector. But instead of records, relics, or knowledge, they collect materials - woods, metals, fibers, shells, bones, stones, and so on. They have a system of organization, but to an outsider, their stash does look rather a mess.

Cici (she/her)
Notes: She's on the taller side for a silk snipper. She has two dull spikes below her knee and elbow joints. Her eyes always look tired.
Only her right antenna is bent near the tip.
Her hat and cloak thing have upward swoops at the tips. The hat follows cartoon hair style rules, so the shape is mirrored if she faces the other way.
When she's wearing her hat, her face can be shadowed as shown on the left, which looks better in sketches, but honestly, it's optional in general.
I forgot to draw her scissors, but they're just regular silk snipper scissors. If I decide that their design has something unique about them, that'll be at a later date.

Maúl (he/they)
Notes: Their shapes are slumped and droopy. Their horn's tip was broken off and has worn somewhat smooth since. They have plenty of scars, but the one over their right eye is the most important one to draw.
He's also missing the pointer finger on his right hand.
He cannot speak above whisper volume, and I will usually indicate that with a dotted outline of his dialogue bubble. While making his text less visible or significantly smaller would recreate the effect of the dialogue being harder to hear, I want to have visual clarity and not strain my eyes to read.
I realized belatedly that neither Maúl's nor Cici's drawings have a useful angle to show that they have little thumbs, but you can see that in the sketch here.
But also, if you wanted to draw them with thumbs and three-fingered hands like a typical cartoon and some other hk characters, that's cool too, and I'll probably do that sometimes myself. As long as Maúl is missing their right pointer finger, it's all good.
Ooc post! This is a blog for my oc underworked that realized the citadel lies and escaped through the wisp thicket and joined their weird fire cult thing. Uhm yeah I will interact with other blogs and stuff
