Summary: Leia’s husband died two years ago in strange circumstances that were never solved. Struggling to move on, she brings fresh roses to his graveside every week. On one particularly difficult visit, stressed by work, her mother’s insistence she tries dating again, and the pressure of moving house, she meets Matthew, who recently moved to the area, and is in mourning for the death of his young son in a hit and run accident The two bond over their grief, and Leia is thankful to finally have someone that “gets” the deep empty hole that grief leaves you with.
Until she sorts through the last of her husband’s things and finds the photographs. Dozens of them, hidden, showing Leia’s husband, and a man who looks exactly like Matthew.
Who really is Matthew? Using the information she’s learned from their meet-ups, Leia investigates. But she can’t find a single trace of him. Nor any record of his son’s death. Leia realises she could be in danger... and that Matthew may be the key to solving her husband’s death, once and for all.
