The Lights of Santiago: On December 31st of 2015, the annual ufo sightings over Santiago, Chile were captured yet again on video. These orbs of light were as large as cars, and have appeared every year to circle key points in the city in formation. The mystery lights were first reported in the 1980s, but now have been the subject of mass sightings since 2000, and accompanying video footage since 2014. The Kaikoura Lights: On December 30th of 1978, an Australian television news crew were on board a cargo aircraft flying between Wellington and Christchurch. Suddenly, UFOs were visible flying in formation around the plane, and keeping pace with it. The mysterious objects were filming by the crew, while simultaneously being wittnessed by observers on the ground. The Rendlesham Forest Incident: On December 26th of 1980, the most famous UFO event in British history came to a climax in the Rendlesham Forest outside the RAF Woodbridge US Air Force Base, in Suffolk, England. Lieutenant Colonel Charles Halt was called to the scene after soldiers had reported seeing strange lights for two days previously. With a small group of men accompanying him, they witnessed a flying disk hovering in the dark woods, which then split into several separate balls of light. The glowing orbs emitted a bright beam of light that bisected the forest in grid patterns. The men's communication devices and flashlights lost all power as the unknown craft went about its work. The O'Hare UFO Incident: On November 7th of 2006, a disk-shaped flying object decended on United Airline's gate C-17 of Chicago's O'Hare International airport, during broad daylight, to hover over the tarmac for several minutes. It then shot straight up into the upper atmosphere, punching a hole in the clouds. At first officials supressed the story and denied it ever happened... but then recordings of airtraffic controllers reacting to the UFO, and warning pilots about its presence came to light. Extraterrestrial Soccer Hooligans: On October 27th of 1954, over ten-thousand soccer fans were watching a match in Florence, Italy, when a spherical UFO shot down from the sky to hover silently over the field. Once in place, it issued forth smaller cone-shaped objects, which rained fiberous "angel hair" down on the croud. The entire stadium fell silent as everyone stood awe struck. Later the fibers excreted by the UFO were studied at the Institute of Chemical Analysis at the University of Florence.
