I like to hear people’s stories about 1.0.

I didn’t play it, but I know where I was during the Calamity-- messaging with a friend who did play. I could tell it was something impactful for the players, the way he talked about it. At the time, I wouldn’t have guessed that I’d be there for 2.0, that I’d be a part of Eorzea, and it would be part of my own culture’s history.

Though it isn’t IC for any of my characters, I like to imagine I was on the linkpearl somewhere abroad while it happened. (Also, I wish I hadn’t lost touch with that friend before ARR. I don’t even know where he is, or who. Maybe we’ve fought together and don’t even know.)
