I wouldn't ask for help if it wasn't needed. I will be making a video soon going into detail on my circumstances. Story is well written on the gfm. I did not make the campaign, my partner did on my behalf. Link is in my bio if you want to help. If you are unable to donate, please share this video. It would help me so much.
Please Help
On Christmas Eve my father passed while on vacation with my siblings. This was completely unexpected and on top of the grief we now I have figure out how to pay for his funeral. It was $6,000 just to fly him from North Carolina to Indiana. And I am in school and can not afford to cover this and neither can the rest of the family. If you are able to please help us by making a donation to funeral expenses at the link provided. Even sharing helps so please feel free to share this in any way. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped me and my family I can’t express how much we appreciate truly it means the world.

Trope: Unexpected Loss
Alternatively titled: Why I Love Sports Animes.
They’re ready and hyped for the fight. They’ve beaten everyone in their way. They’re on top of the world.
(But the higher you are, the harder you fall.)
They face off against a new opponent. They’re complacent. They laugh and joke and smile, because this is just another feather in their cap. They’ve never met anyone that can hurt them. They’ve never met anyone who could even get close. They are the best that there’s ever been. Right? Right?
(But you already know where this is going.)
They are outmatched. Cleanly. Perhaps not fairly, but outmatched nonetheless. The shock is almost as bad as the pain. They couldn’t brace for it. Their world is falling apart, and so is their body.
They lose.
And everything shatters around them, in a cascading wave of failures and losses, because when you start falling, you don’t stop until you hit rock bottom. They lose, and they lose horrifically, and a meteoric rise to the top is halted by a sudden reintroduction of reality.
(They are big fish in a little pond and the ocean is hungry.)
Good Grief: The Haunting of Hill House
[SPOILERS]
I hate scary movies, but for some reason I watched The Haunting of Hill House series. I think I wanted to see if I could handle it, which surprisingly I could...kind of.
I enjoyed it for the most part and didn’t once have to leave the room or hide my face which is a FEAT. I thought I had it in the bag until the last episode.
I lost someone last year unexpectedly. I don’t really talk about it. I use the excuse that I’m a “private griever,” but really I don’t really want to deal with it. She was a close friend who died from a pulmonary embolism in her 30s. It sucked. It still sucks. It sucks sucks sucks fucking so much sucks.
So we’re watching Hill House, and it’s all about death and grieving, but I’m keeping it together. Then the goodbye scenes happened. If you’ve seen it, you know which ones I’m talking about. The ones where Nellie says goodbye to the siblings and the dad says goodbye to Steven.
I lost it. Just sobbing. Pure ugly crying. Snot, tears, red face, contracted shoulders, the WORKS.
It was so jealous and so angry. I was disgusted by how angry I was. And I was inconsolably sad. I didn’t get a goodbye. I didn’t get to tell her how much she means to me and how much I love her. I didn’t get to hear her say that she knows and that she loves me too. And because I had been repressing all of this, I honestly didn’t realize just how much not having that goodbye hurt until that moment.
I hate scary movies.
Anyways, I started therapy again last week lol. Wish me luck!
