📚 and 🙃?
🙃 Which is easier: faces facing left, right, or front view?
I think I consider myself alright at most perspectives now, at least the simple ones XD. Front facing ones are the most annoying because I don’t like perfect symetry but my real issues are extreme tilts of the head when they’re either looking up or down. I think of those two tho looking up is still harder.
📚 How many layers do you typically use?
Ahh I remember the days when I used 3-4 layers and that was enough :,D. Now it depends on the complexity of a piece but a full on painting can be upwards of 65-80. A simpler pic can be about 13 tho and that counts all the layers I use to sketch and clean up my lineart. But honestly I’ve improved since then so maybe there’s something to using more layers lol. I think it’s because I use multiply and overlay layers now. They’re great for making color adjustments and adding atmosphere to a piece but they are hard to merge down in an orderly way without flattening all my work into a single layer. My one rule is to try and keep the b/g and the character in two separate layers/folders so if I use an overlay to adjust the whole image then I gotta start painting on top again :,D.
