Use songs from your Spotify, iTunes, I really don't care....just MUSIC
1. a song from the year you were born / Wannabe - The Spice Girls
2. a song that reminds you of school / Come On Eileen - Dexy's Midnight Riders (it's one of the first songs that unexpectedcertainties and I ever bonded over.)

7. an instrumental / Concerning Hobbits - Howard Shore (Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (this is such a beautiful piece; it's actually my alarm tone)
8. a classical piece / Clair de Lune - Claude DeBussy (I study to this music, it is quite therapeutic)
9. a song with no percussion / Today - Willamette Stone (okay this is from that movie 'If I Stay' with Chloe Grace Moretz but it's at the top of my playlist because it such a beautiful rendition of a classic song (and I didn't hear any percussion).
10. something you’ve heard performed live / Blame it On Me - George Ezra (Saw him in concert tonight; he opened for Sam Smith and it was amazing!)
11. something you’d give ANYTHING to hear performed live / The Heart Never Lies - McFly (McFly is my favorite band and they only tour in the UK; not the US where I live. Though I have heard recorded live versions of this song; they are not the same, I would literally kill to hear this song sung live for my ears to hear)
12. a song by an artist who’s from where you’re from (town/city/state/country) / Bulletproof Picasso - Train (from the beautiful state of California!)
13. a song made suddenly precious because of a special someone / My Girl - The Temptations (This is my grandpa's song to me, and it was always be...)

19. the last song you had stuck in your head / Make It To Me - Sam Smith (love this song, that is all :DD)
20. a song you’re dying to master all the words to / Lose Yourself - Eminem (his raps are F**king epic, I wanna rap like that)

33. a song you have ZERO patience for / Angel - Sarah McLaughlan (no way....too sad; especially with those damn ASPCA animal abuse commercials)

MUSICAL TAG QUESTIONS!
New year confessions and shameless idea stealing (sorry Reanna!)
hello, hello, hello!
So following in the footsteps of my good friend Reanna (unexpectedcertainties),As I see that she has started a new tab on her blog of her thoughts and feelings, I have decided to get back into journaling everyday (or when I remember to). My journals (both digital and paper) have been neglected for far too long and I think they deserve some love, so here goes...
It's been 2015 for approximately 18 days now, and it hasn't really been all that spectacular. I don't know, it's not like I expected fireworks and a sudden shedding of my 2014 life, but something a little more exciting could have sufficed. So far in these 18 days, I have spent 3/4 of them working on a project that isn't mine, questioning life decisions, and watching horror films; but not in that order.
Alright, so the horror films are for my January college class which I must admit is a lot of fun, and definitely takes my mind off of things but there have been certain things that have been eating away at me lately that I can't help but think about.
How strict my parents are about my education still....I mean I've always been a driven person, don't get me wrong. I'm probably harder on myself than my parents are on me sometimes, but lately they seem to be ruling my life. I'm almost twenty years old for heavens sake, LIGHTEN UP A LITTLE. I've always kind of lived a sheltered life and just kind of accepted that that's how my life would be, but you'd think I'd have a little more freedom when it comes to my own education. And I know my parents work very hard to put me through school, but must they have control over every class (and how many I take?) I got into an argument with my mom a couple of days ago because I wanted to switch my schedule around. And she lost it, "don't fix what's not broken" she says "if you want fun, go to community college" she says. And I got so pissed that I ran upstairs angry crying (which hasn't happened in a long time) just because I wanted to drop one unit. They are insistent on me carrying a full load of classes (18 units) until I graduate. While part of me agrees this is a good idea and that I can handle it because I don't know anything different; the other part of me is saying that it's my life and I should have a little fun here and there. I don't know maybe I'm fussing over nothing, but this needed to come out at some point, might as well be on here; where I'm the most me I'll ever be.
The second thing that is on my mind is that I feel like I'm losing my friends. Now this one may just be because I miss them like crazy and haven't seen them in a while. But in most cases I feel like everyone is hanging out without me, with the exception of my best friend and a handful of others. And I can't help but ask myself "Am I boring?" "Are my friends slowly drifting away from me?" And with certain events coming up like sorority recruitment at my college, some days I'll feel pumped to potentially be joining a sorority and making tons of new friends. While other days I feel like I have no chance because I haven't tried hard enough to stand out as an individual. I'm hoping these thoughts are fleeting and I'll feel better when the new semester starts and I have new things to look forward to.
Until then I have more horror movies to watch, papers to write, schedules to rearrange, and my life to sort out. Welcome to 2015 Lauren, let's try and make up for an eh start to it...
Until next time,
lauren

I really don't want this year to be over. I am so happy here. Not to say that I'm not happy at home, but I feel as though I am surrounded by so much positivity on this campus. I have met so many new people this year that have brought so much happiness into my life, and it's going to be so strange not seeing them every single day. Looking back on this year, it's almost overwhelming to consider how many amazing memories I have. (Special shout out to my roommate and best friend Reanna for literally being by my side since day one, I'm so happy that so many of these great memories include you.) Before I came here, I never imagined that I could possibly love it this much. I really am so happy with everything I accomplished this year and I'm so sad to see this year go. Here's to hoping this summer will be just as wonderful as this school year was.
March Monthly Favorites!
Alright people, you know the drill! This is some stuff that I have been loving throughout the month of March! And it ranges from normal to random, so here goes :)
Favorite TV Show: ooh this is a tough one but it's probably between How I Met Your Mother (so disappointed by that finale by the way) and Glee. These shows have been my favorites for a while and both have had episodes on point lately :)
Favorite Film: Okay well I saw Divergent and it was AWESOME, so there's one and the other is Saving Mr. Banks. I loved this film so much, it made me so happy with such a touching, yet sad story.
Favorite Youtuber: Tyler Oakley! This kid is going places, he is soooo hilarious and amazing and you should definitely subscribe if you haven't. DO IT!! You won't be disappointed. He is so fabulous :)\
Favorite Song: On Top of the World - Imagine Dragons (I know it's not new but it's so good), Best I've Ever Had - Gavin DeGraw
Favorite OTP: Neal/Emma: Once Upon a Time ...though I love Emma and Hook together, I think Neal is just better for her overall plus he's super cute! THough I'm very sad that he's dead (hopefully not permanently though, because let's face it its OUAT) But yeah...I love this show wayy to much. I have a problem guys
Favorite Book: The Divergent Series (I know I jumped on the bandwagon with this but whatever, I am currently reading Insurgent and it's pretty good and I am not looking forward to Allegiant because apparently it's really sad.
Favorite Food/Treat: Bowl of Heaven (They're a local eatery near me that sells the most amazing Acai bowls and they are literally heaven in your mouth, mmmm perfection.
look at this beautifullness!
Favorite Makeup/Product:
Bath and Body Works Destination Candles: HOLYCRAPTHESESMELLAMAZING..
and
Rimmel London Apocalips (though they're called Showoff I believe in the US where I live) anyway, they supposed to be amazing and I can't wait to try them.
But yeah that's everything! Hope you enjoyed your March! Onwards and upwards to April :)
Cheers,
Lauren :)
