{ Did I miss you publishing the flattery one???? I don’t remember seeing it. :(
I kind of love them already!
Also, I’ve been thinking about it, and I’ve come to a couple of conclusions I’d like to share with you regarding our thread.
Firstly, I don’t want Dio at auditions. I don’t want him seeing her and judging her, the way he has to, and thinking she’s so good but she’d not physically what i’m looking for and then not casting her because she doesn’t fit his ideal (which, I’ll be real with you here, is why so few larger actresses tend to get really famous, especially when they’re young). And I kind of adore the idea of him walking in and having everything already in place and just having to deal with it BUT being super pleased because yeah, it’s community trash (he’s so elitist omD), but hey--this girl’s go it going on!
So that means--secondly--that initially the theatre had a different director mounting the play, who had to drop out (criminal involvement???) and the owner flipped out because the season is so small and so tight they really can’t afford to drop shows already on the slate so she calls in this frantic favor to Dio, who’s an old friend of hers, because she knows he’s not working on a project and he owes her one.
He reluctantly agrees and shows up without high hopes for the show, so it’s a good thing Penelope kicks ass! Really raises his spirits!
Thirdly, I really wanna do either Shakespeare (because it’s neutral ground) or Legally Blonde: The Musical (it’s basically the movie, only with songs), and I want Garcia as the leading lady regardless. For Shx, I’m between The Taming of the Shrew and Much Ado About Nothing, because both have really fierce, fiery, glowering leading ladies with a sharp tongue and a stubborn streak a mile wide and I think Garcia would be killer in that archetype...but I’m also kinda in on the idea of her playing El. Personally I prefer Shrew, but in the end I’m good with any of these, so it’s your call!! }
