[ Sure it was awkward hanging out, and spending all night with a co-worker. Especially then that Co-Worker was the sister of another member of your team. But ever since the nightmare He had endure at the hands of The Beauty Killer, Peyton had became His soft place to land. Maybe it had something to do with there History, one that He was sure if Spencer had ever found out about, He'd probably skin Him alive.
But that was just one thing Elijah dealt with on a daily basis. He took a deep breath, the one thing Peyton never did know about was his continuous pill popping. That little silver box always remained in his front coat pocket. But tongiht, He was having a hard time staying still. Fingers kept moving inside the coat pocket, brushing lightly across the lid. For awhile that was actually helping to soothe Him.
But now, the simplest touch wasn't doing it anymore. Green eyes flickered over toward where Peyton would be sitting, She had to of been in the kitchen still, preparing the small dinner for the both of them. He took a deep breath, eyes softly closing as He removed that small box, and popped one in His mouth.

Derek had been trying to catch up on some paperwork when his eyes darted upward for just a second. He'd been thinking about refilling his coffee cup, but he wanted to see how long the line at the pot was. What with it being the beginning of most people's shifts, he wasn't surprised to see the queue was pretty full.
It was as he looked around for that one millisecond that his eyes found a brunette haired woman he was sure he had never seen before. This piqued his interest and all thoughts of paperwork were gone from his mind. There was something familiar about the woman, but he couldn't put his finger on exactly what it was. She just had a look about her that reminded him of someone.
Deciding it would be rude to not go over and introduce himself--assuming she was a new worker here--he neatly piled his papers together in front of him and made his way towards the unfamiliar face with a smile already perched upon his lips.
"Hello," he greeted when he found her. "You look a little lost. Are you new here?" It was the easiest way to start talking, and it was sure to garner some answers. His hand was held in front of him for a handshake as he waited to find out just who she was.
