Kylian won his fifth and final Ligue 1 Player of the Year award. Far surpassing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Now last year, Lionel Messi was the first and only teammate Kylian ever named specifically in any of his POTY award speeches:

And this year, he names Ousmane Dembele......HOWEVER....

He mentiones Ousmane because

A. Ousmane is actually present

B. He gives Ousmane more of a comment like "Let's see you win after me, buddy 😉"

With Leo......it was like in 2023......Leo wasn't even freakin present. Kylian could've just ignored him, just say "I thank my teammates" and it would've been fine.

Yet when Kylian got handed the award, he immediately thought of Leo without shawty even being there. Leo was so important to Kylian, he felt like not specifically sharing credit with him.....would've been just....wrong.

So that's why I consider Leo to really still be the only one Kylian ever mentions in his award speech. The one he truly ever wanted to share credit with.

He mentioned Ousmane to be friendly. He wasn't thinking "I would've never won this without Ousmane".

However, I kinda feel like last year, Kylian really did give the feeling of "I wouldn't have won this without Messi"
