here’s the definitive guide on how to unfuck your dashboard

i’ve decided to compile all of the information in one place for everyone else who’s pissed but also wants to start from scratch and might not be that knowleadgable about tech. So if you want to your dashboard to look as beautiful and simple as this:

first thing you’ll need to do is get firefox - I’m assuming that if you’re here you probably already use it but if not, it’s free and open-source and you can get it here.

Next you’ll want to get these extensions, which can be downloaded for free on the firefox add-ons page:

- ublock origin - go-to adblocker for firefox, literally works magic

- xkit rewritten - extension specially made for fixing tumblr ui, created by @april​

- tampermonkey - allows you to add user-made code extensions (to be used later with the dashboard unfucker program)

xkit has a bunch of stuff you can play around, this is the base usability stuff that I have on but there’s also a bunch of other options you can customize. Here’s detailed info on what each thing does from the github if you want to investigate.

next up, install the dashboard unfucker, created by @dragongirlsnout. This code should be automatically added to your tampermonkey extension.

Finally, refer to this post by @madamepestilence​ to get the full list of things to add to uBlock to block all of the residual crap (as well as a bonus list of AI art sites to block from your searches!
