In today's episod of "improving my life by 1%" I've cleaned one room's windows. There are 4 other rooms in the flat, but I did a little and that counts.

This is more of what I've decluttered. Some items I will sell (especially the Winx pocket computer thingy), most I will donate. I know a great thrift store for all those tiny toys!
Some of these items, like the pink stand mixer toy, are very nostalgic. I carefully cleaned them, and I hope they will find a new home where some kid wil play with them again :)
This stuff is so grounding. These tasks seem insurmountable, but are actually not all that time consuming usually. And honestly even if they are, doing them generally causes way less stress than procrastinating ages... (ouch)
Y’all this week was super stressful both at work and at the nonprofit I volunteer for, and I ended up working late two evenings and most of Yesterday. Had a mini panic attack Friday. My house is gross. Today I want to be a reset. Last weekend I made a long list for myself and got some things done but not enough to feel good. Today I’ve already unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, I’ve put my fitbit on, and I’m about to water plants and then go for a walk if it is not too hot. Fingers crossed on that one. Then I am going to be lame and restart my blogging accountability for cleaning my house, eating healthier, and getting physical excercise. All in an attempt to manage my covid related anxiety/depression cycle. So yeah. I need some life balance. Onward.
It’s that time of year where I go through my filing cabinet and get rid of documents I no longer need. After making a big mess, I now have a shred pile and a bag of recycling. #unfyh #beforeandafter #unfuckyourhabitat
that feel after u do a panic binge clean and u look around ur room and are like i'm so exhausted but i made the floor visible and threw out a bunch of garbage it makes the self more at peace
I wish I had a “before” photo but husband pulled all the stuff out of the kitchen penninsula storage area and had it all over the floor when I came in this afternoon. Prior to this photo it was stuffed with cheap plastic storage items that nobody used, a faded & chipped platter that had needed replacing for ages and other assorted unneeded items so I was taken by surprise. I took the opportunity to line the shelves with roll of shelving paper I had left over so after 22 years in this house I finally got the shelf paper down on it. It was just plywood before. Yes, he did wash the items before replacing on the shelves.
