If I were thrust into a magical battle, and given one fictional weapon of my choice to help me, I’d definitely choose the UnGun. It takes whatever is loaded inside and exaggerates it. It was loaded with six things, a grape pip, an ant that crawled inside, several grains of salt, a small slip of paper, a chip off of a brick, a strand of hair, and when that was gone, nothing at all. This is what happened when, in order, they were fired.
GRAPE: Vines the size of trees instantaneously exploded out of the ground, filling the street and square nearby and costing buildings. It completely immobilized the monsters, which were the size of such buildings, and grew some very tasty grapes.
ANT: Millions of ants exploded out the nothingness, eating their enemy alive, which was a hostile monster made entirely of fruit.
SALT: It was fired into the water of a canal, turning it to saltwater. This immediately killed off the murderous freshwater vines which were attacking them, and with magic, made the waters of the canal gain waves like the ocean. Somehow the sound of gulls sounded overhead, even through there were none.
PAPER: Hundreds of paper airplanes filled the room they were in, all aimed towards the enemy. There was colored paper, plain paper, blank sheets, sheets written on in pen and pencil and typed, and pages from books and pages from drawings, all folded in different ways, some simple, some complex. All out to attack.
BRICK: It instantaneously built an enormous brick tower around their enemies, complete with mortar. There were even outlines of windows, but those were filled with bricks too. The door was concreted, and there was a single fire escape of the roof. They were trapped.
HAIR: The enemies suddenly grew yards and yards of hair, unable to stand up from the weight. The hair was dirty and matted, and exploded their masks, which had previously fed them an addictive substance. It weighed their heads down and wouldn’t stop growing.
NOTHING: An enormous vortex had sprung from the barrel of the gun, sucking with a huge force. It was the size of a tornado and pulled in a cloud. That is why I want the UnGun.
