people who moved away for college/uni, how much stuff did you bring with you?
specifically how many clothes?
i feel like im bringing too much.
what are the essentials?
thank you :)))
Uni student living accommodation be like
You have a stairwell and an elevator, but no-one uses one. Guess which
The kitchen has nothing in it and is surrounded in glass so we have a panopticon
Your room looks nice but that is where it stops being nice
Your roomies are either your bffs or the most random people to exist
When you are leaving rhe building you will first pass by the council of man that has taken residency in the yard
You will never have peace, the walls are paper thin
Good luck.
Hi I've just seen that you've started going to Swansea University. I go there too! I'm currently not there as I'm on my year abroad but I just wanted to say hello and I hope you get use to all the noise, I found it an issue when I first started but it's a beautiful place :)
Hi. Yes I just started in September. Cool..a year abroad sounds awesome. Well hello and I doubt I will. The noise is one of my biggest issues together with the shared kitchens. That´s why I can´t wait to move out of uni accommodation. I agree that the scenery around here is beautiful.
call residential to try and stop the ants coming in. "Put powder down." Oh wow. I hadn't thought of that.
trying to find a house to live in next year with my flat is so difficult. Barely anyone is even in our flat right now, and as it stands I am the only person organising and going to the viewings. JUST GIVE ME SOMEWHERE TO LIVE.
Like an absolute munge I forgot my bloody bag going down to the washing machines. usually I'd just go back up to my room and get it but oh flipping no. Some wise ass has decided to have the same idea as me and do their washing at the same time as me. But it's not just one wise ass oh no. It's fucking 2. And by sods law there are only 2 dryers and their washing cycle is gonna be done in 6 fucking minutes. So they are gonna want BOTH OF THE FUCKING DRYERS, ONE OF WHICH CURRENTLY HOLDS HALF OF MY ENTIRE WARDROBE.
So instead I've gotta fashion some sort of transport mechanism that's gonna hold all my fecking washing
I threaded all my pants on my dressing gown cord xD then put a shirt over it to somewhat save my dignity.
And the 2 guys were walking to the laundry room one was in full freaking pyjamas. Which doesn't mean anything in particular but they were stereotypical blue and white striped and were fucking hilarious.
And that concludes my story :)
I just got my uni accommodation confirmed and I think I might have been allocated a room in the tower. IN THE TOWER.
Okay, I don't actually know if my room is in the tower or not, but I really hope it is.
I want to live in a tower.
