They were 1-0 up when I was able to start watching with like 15 minutes to go, then Lapoussin completely gave up marking Hendry on the corner, he gets the knockdown assist to Homma and the capitulation began. Players jogging back whenever the ball turned over and, boom, you’re 3-1 down in 10 minutes. For me, that’s not luck, that’s appalling game management and unprofessional behavior. Someone’s going this summer, either some players or the manager. There’s no way that team doesn’t get a kick up the backside after that.

I wouldn’t sack Geraerts, he’s still really new at this and did a hell of a job turning them around after the poor start to the season. But that can’t happen again if they want to hang with the big boys in Europe, it just can’t. So I definitely expect some player movement during the summer window. The owners seem like nice and fair people, but they also seem very ambitious and quite serious about their ambitions. 🧐
