I honestly think netflix is going to experience a rise in piracy and a lack of overall sub gain after all their cancellations, especially considering they promised after Sense8 that they understood the importance of completing a story.

I’ve been fighting for The OA but so many unique, funny, heartwarming, wild, and everything shows have been cancelled this year.

most of us subbed to netflix because it felt like a platform for artists to finally express themselves away from hollywood and spread their vision to the public. if that’s not what netflix is about anymore, then we don’t need it.

amazon is already doing them shame by producing content like The Boys, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they and other new streaming services try to pick up the shows netflx abandoned.

netflix is dead. if it’s just going to be like your average TV show programming, nobody needs it. people are thirsty for unique content by new creators, not to rewatch friends for the hundredth time, except now on netflix.

they’ve totally misunderstood who their main market actually is and I predict they’re going to pay for it.

To the multiple anons who sent me asks yesterday telling me that I need to unfollow / stop reblogging from a particular tumblr blog:

Can you please provide specific details of what the issue is?  Simply telling me to stop because that person is “bad” or “a thief” or that I should google it isn’t really helpful.  Especially since when I google a popular blog name all I get are hundreds of posts from that same blog.  

You may all have very good reasons for telling me to stop following this person.  But I have also seen multiple occasions where nameless faceless people on the internet start a campaign against a specific person or blog and then other people hop on board without doing their due diligence to determine independently whether or not the rumors and accusations are true.  

I need details.  Give me some verifiable information and examples of issues and I will absolutely review the information myself.  But in the absence of specific information -- all I have are strangers hidden behind an anonymous ask whose motivations are unknown telling me to take action for reasons I don’t understand.  That’s not something I feel comfortable with.
