Unit 2 Part C: manage the effectiveness of the project
Leading up to the event we met every Monday to plan the event, things came up about the artists performing, what artwork would be displayed, the layout of things like the PA system and stall positioning in the room.We met on the morning Saturday 16th December, before the gig, we discussed the practical issues about the event and how we would deal with them if something came up, how everything was going to operate that day and where everything would go. And I met Beth to pick up the posters for promoting the event, I also posted on social media about the event before and during it.
The hashtag we created to get people posting about the event.

A photo of one of the post it notes hidden as a trigger point.
I started writing the poetry triggers on pieces of paper but got some feedback from Zahra about using post it notes which was suggestion as they were colourful and made everything look so clear.
I was nervous about how this would work out, my initial approach to positing them around wasn’t so creative, I ended up trying out putting them on fixing on the ceiling, under light switches, on the march table and Christmas decorations.
Here is the flow of work that was produced and contributed to by the audience members. This was in response to the art on the walls, music and post its.
People got involved with my work really easily, they contributed ideas, thoughts, lyrics that were triggered by the general mood of the room and music/art.
I told people how they could contribute, gave them pointers when they asked and reassured them that they could write about whatever they want but to feel to use the triggers around the room for inspiration.
The issues I came up against was making sure the post it notes weren't in the way of the artwork or musical equipment. The projector was also not so clear, it has some problems with speckles on the screen, we did what we could and spent some time propping it up in a part of them room that was clearly marked.
I taped down cables to avoid any trips and slips.

Some feedback from Zahra the director of YWMP:
How well do you think I have done on my side of the project?
I think your ideas have been fresh, new and exciting, we have never hosted anything like this as part of YWMP. You are starting to form new ideas and see them through which is an important part of becoming a leader. Communicating your needs for this work to be achieved is key and you have really shown growth with asking for help when you need it.
Was there anything I could have done better ?
The only thing you could have improved on is maybe doing a bit of further promotion with the poetry element, signposting it to audiences that may be interest like youth clubs and schools.
