Otori Kohaku (unity-chan!) has a voicebank released for the speech synthesizer A.I.VOICE. Her design for this software is based on her original design (as the Unity Technologies Japan mascot), rather than her VOCALOID4 design.
Vocaloids with different birthdays than their release dates!
most vocaloids have their birthdays celebrated on the day they were first released for vocaloid. but did you know that some vocaloids have canon birthdays separate from their release dates?
some of these are for interesting reasons, and may be explained in their own posts. but in the meantime, here is a bonus post of the vocaloids with separate canon birthdays!

seems like this practice suddenly got a lot more common for vocaloids released in 2018!
A few months before her release, unity-chan (specifically as the Otori Kohaku mascot) appeared in the 26th volume of Rana's Vocalo-P ni Naritai! magazine as part of a collaboration with Unity.
(The blue and orange Japanese text at the bottom says, "collab with the official character of the Unity game engine, unity-chan! includes unity-chan ribbon MMD accessory!")
AKAZA's creation resulted from unity-chan's voice provider, Kakumoto Asuka, feeling that the singing voice of Otori Kohaku was so different from her pre-established speaking voice that it might as well belong to a separate character. Ultimately, however, AKAZA and Otori are both mascots for the same voicebank.
unity-chan was also released for Unity with VOCALOID, a version of VOCALOID to be used within the Unity engine. However, since it was based on VOCALOID2 and not VOCALOID4, unity-chan's voicebank for this software lacks the higher quality and growl capabilities of her VOCALOID4 voicebank.
