🎉✨WMNF MLK march recap! 🎉 We were truly honored to march for love, equality, and unity as we celebrated the great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 💕✊ The energy was electric, and the spirit of the day reminded us of the power of community and shared purpose. It was an absolute joy to be surrounded by so many wonderful neighbors and friends, coming together to carry Dr. King's dream forward. 🕊️💜 Here’s to building a brighter future, one step at a time. 🫶 It was tough to choose just one photo, but this one truly captures the love, joy, and unity we felt throughout the day! 💕✨Thank you, Tampa Bay, for sharing your love and light with us! 🖤❤️💛
In the tapestry of life, friendships are the threads that weave us together. But when we talk about the friendships among black women, it’s not just about camaraderie; it’s about unity, strength, and an unbreakable bond that fortifies our community.
👩🏿🦱Black women have always been the pillars of support and resilience. Our friendships are the cornerstones of a community that uplifts, inspires, and empowers one another. Here’s why these connections are not just important but vital:
💪🏿Support System: In a world that can often be challenging, black women find solace and strength in each other. Our friendships provide the much-needed emotional support and encouragement to navigate the hurdles we face.
✨Empowerment: When we come together, we become a force to be reckoned with. Our collective strength empowers us to break down barriers and shatter ceilings, demonstrating that there’s nothing we can’t achieve when we stand side by side.
🌍Celebration of Diversity: Our friendships embrace the richness of our community’s diversity. We celebrate various backgrounds, stories, and experiences, and in doing so, we learn, grow, and strengthen our bonds.
🧘🏿♀️Self-Care: Friends who understand and empathize with your unique experiences are essential for self-care. We create spaces where we can heal, laugh, and rejuvenate our spirits.
🏛️Building Legacy: Our friendships are the building blocks of a legacy we leave for the next generation. We teach them the importance of unity, the beauty of diversity, and the unbreakable spirit of sisterhood.
Remember, your friendship with your fellow black women is not just a bond; it’s a testament to the strength of a community that has overcome adversity and continues to rise together. Celebrate these friendships, nurture them, and let them shine as beacons of inspiration for all. 🙌🏿

Runners who support runners who support their community have my full support 💯 Repost via @chinatownrunners : LELAND YU // "On Monday, March 22nd. I will be racing in the Virtual United Airlines NYC Half Marathon. I will be fundraising for the Chinatown Block Watch. It is a group of 20-30 members who have been patrolling the Chinatown neighborhood and nearby areas since the start of the pandemic, and have been a visible deterrent against attacks and harassment. Founded by longtime Chinatown resident Karlin Chan, who is also behind the Chinatown Mural Project, the cost of supplies have mostly come out of his pocket. I aim to fundraise for the block watch to provide them with the necessary uniforms and equipment to safely keep an eye out for the community. During a time such as this, they are needed now more than ever."
