Reposted from @catspayneuters Posted @withregram • @littlewanderersnyc WE GOT THE PARALYZED CAT. He finally showed up under a car JUST when we were about to pack it in. Today there was true unity in the community. Seasoned rescuers worked alongside people who have never rescued in their life who felt like they had to do something. The community all worked together to get this one paralyzed cat! And we did! We’ve named him Jayden. Twenty-five volunteers patrolled a 2x2 block area, unfamiliar to all of us, since 9:30am. We knocked on doors, went down alleys, we talked with everybody in the neighborhood who were as concerned and as heartbroken as we were. We came together and we did it. We are on our way to the Animal Medical Center, a 24 hour emergency hospital in NYC. They are one of the only places with a full neurology set-up. A huge thank you to @brooklynhairs and especially to @loyal2myself44 who sacrificed her entire day to organize Jayden’s rescue. She used a net! And scruffed his neck and got him into a transfer trap.
