Universal concept: Paradiso

Paradiso is a realm constructed by dreams, ideals, and possibilities. It's radiant and exists in multitudes. It's the collective hope and dreams of the entire universe. A majority of it, due to the nature of Genesis Frogs, is based around them. What they wish for. A wide open sky with large puffy clouds to hop around on, large swamps with lilipads, and other such features make up most of Paradiso's basic design.

Here, every material thing is subject to change. Reality is not solid and focused will, intent, and wishes shape and mold it. Through focusing one's hope, Paradiso begins to change. The forces lying within Paradiso call for the mortal realm to be like it, acting as an attractive force to make reality as ideal as Paradiso. One of the largest forces is faith.

Faith

Faith is a liquid/plasma like substance contained within Paradiso. It can be shaped and bent, given form through concentration, will power, and the vividness of wishes and dreams.

Faith is what dreams are made of it. It is the physical manifestation of want and ideal, able to take the perfect form of anything.

Having a vision of what something should be is reaching out towards that item and sensing it’s Faith

Goals are the subconscious linking itself to a person’s own Faith

Whenever a Hope player creates a construct it is because they expertly shaped faith so well that it actually manifests. They truly have faith in it

Miracles

The result of vast amounts of Faith being shaped very quickly. It shapes so fast it actively materializes, springing into reality in the most convenient form.

When enough hope and faith is pulled together and properly shaped, reality conforms, becoming like Paradiso

Angels

The materialized sub sentient embodiment of dreams. When there is enough good faith angels can be summoned. Typically invisible in the mortal realm, they are to facilitate miracles and more often than not, bring about the will of paradiso.

Will of Paradiso

The Will of Paradiso is the latent Hope of Genesis Frogs permeating though all of reality. It is the will to purify that which is mot worthy as a means to preserve ideals. It is a powerful cosmic force of blinding light, intense heat, and overwhelming kinetic energy. This is what powers hope blasts and hopesplosions, like Eridan’s wand and Jake’s temper tantrum. If given a small area it can penetrate through pretty much anything but with wider area of effects it loses presssure and simply becomes devestating force

By honing into this sense they can call upon this will (typically called magic) and manifest blasts of devastating power. The exact nature of this will is why many see Hope as the most powerful. The presence of Paradiso’s will makes many readily resign to it.

Universal concept: Ground zero

A realm of infinite green energy. Ground Zero is, ultimately, where all things stand. It is the stage in which the universe occurs. Ground Zero is laced within the stitches of reality, existing between the lines and in the margins. It is no more than a rough outline of reality, with a few exceptions Firstly, gravity wells. In Ground Zero, these become actually visible, with Generic Mold bending surrounding Substance. The reason spatial dimensions don’t work properly is because each Genesis Frog is a self contained singularity Secondly, dimensional beacons. Within Ground Zero it's possible to find and interact with all of the cracks, weak spots, and short cuts in space. Wormholes and portals to different dimensions, pocket dimensions, and other places in space can be found scattered across the whole of Ground Zero Generic Mold All things with mass and matter are made up of Generic Mold, a green substance that accounts for weight and spatial dimensions. It is the ledger of reality, making everything accounted for. It is the basic material in which all things stem from Generic Mold is essentially just matter, the base material in which anything can be shaped. Before things actually exist, a Generic Mold of it is made, accounting for it's mass, size, and weight. Within Ground Zero the natural universe takes a slight greenish hue and can not be interacted with, typically. In Ground Zero, where there are packets of purely empty space, like in the Void for example, Generic Mold can be found floating precariously. It can be found in any decently isolated location. Genesis Frogs require a massive amount of Generic Mold to exist. When their genetic makeup is completed and they are sent to Skaia to incubate, the grist hoards empower them, allowing them to rapidly claim Generic Mold and grow in size, but also in their contained infinity. The reason Parodox Space gets so weird in the Furthest Ring is because each Genesis Frog has a special makeup. They are an entire Universe and in some semblance, a singularity (a point with infinite mass). Due to their unique nature, they physically warp surrounding space, resulting in spatial dynamics in the Furthest Ring being busted, because they are technically an infinite amount of Generic Mold, but contained within one spot. Substance This flowing green energy, known as substance, surrounds everything. It's like everything is incased in glowing, sparking, green gelatin. Substance is naturally bonded to Generic Mold, seeking out matter to be surround and envelope. Spatial dimensions, ie the area an object takes up, is defined by Substance. Every corner of reality, every place where physical matter can exist in normal reality, it is because Substance flows through it, creating the medium possible for things to actually physically move through Space. When Space entities or players teleport, it is often met with green electricity. This is Substance in action. By teleporting, they are controlling Substance. They are leaving their current spatial bond and binding with different Substance, a different location. The Green Sun was essentially just a massive rift of Substance. The Tumor is meant to tear apart matters connection to Substance, basically being a sort of atom bomb. When applied to sheer negative area and empty space, the Tumor ripped a hole in reality, allowing a massive flow of Substance to exist in the normal universe. Essentially it's a massive ball of intense energy, a self contained infinity of power, it's own Substance energy locking it as a fixed position in Paradox Space.

Universal concept: The Furnace

The Furnace A realm of entropy and fire. A place where time and thus everything else, is relative. The realm is constantly changing, forever coiling and winding. The ground is made from a sort of metal like construct. Raw, unfiltered, frozen temporal energy. This is the only true substance with definite shape. Time is fluid, always moving and changing, but this metal is a captured moment. Critical moments and pieces that shape the very time stream. Besides the metal-like pieces and their clock-like structures, there is a mass amount of ‘fire’, aka materilized entropy. Fire powers many of the ‘clocks’ and surrounds many of the 'gears’. This is due to the fluid, shaping, entropic forces of Time.

Time stops for no man, after all. Fuses Pillars of temporal energy, naturally shaping themselves in a circular or spiral pattern, turn into clock like structures. Every clock, a universe. Every gear, a timeline. These solid structures make the fundamentals of time. They are a collection of information and frozen moments, giving people and sessions skeletal frames and variables, while the fires of time push these frames forward.

The burning fires forge new realities, new gears, and twist and turn in unexpected ways. Right when things start going into a pace and flowing smoothly, they shift. The fires and flame are unpredictable and twist timelines in any way that will make them continue to function. All patterns, all sequences, are governed by cosmic fuses. Everything that can change has one. Systems like the death of a star have large, consistent fuses. Players have small ones. Godtier players have godtier clocks. Once the clocks break and the fire burns the fuses out, whatever was governed has come, gone, and passed. The more processed collections and frozen moments are massive, grand, spiraling structures. These are the largest fuses are known as Vast Spans, or the timelines of Genesis Frogs. The reason Time doesn’t work normally in Paradox Space is because Vast Spans are self looping infinities, causing weaker fuses to become far less in synch or chronological. All fuses inherentlly sink with the local Vast Span which is why time is seen as universal and one direction

Besides the fire keeping things running and on/off course, there is another type of energy. A rainbow tapestry of plasma covers the sky. This is clockwork majjyks. Clockwork majjyks As the fires keep time moving along and judge how the timestreams will flow, the clockwork majjyks are the endless cascading forces of endings. All things in all moments are hurtling towards the finish line, even if they don’t know what that is. The End is vibrant and chaotic, all consuming and pulling all things closer. It is the end of all things and yet, it is eternal. The end of time is timeless. When heroes go godtier they are in touch with this energy, their godtier clock having synched to it. If their clock does not stop (ie, judges their death heroic or just) then they are eternal. They are kept in near perfection forever and their wounds heal with the vibrant rainbow energies. This energy is a fundamental force, but one particular creature of note is embedded with it, having it as a natural force in their body. Of course, such creatures exist for every aspect with every energy form, but this creature is a major figure in canon. Cherubs A time alligned creature that exists in every Genesus Frog. They are something like Time antibodies for the Frog, making sure reality is properly maintained. They are to help make sure there is a proper balance in the universe so that the genesis frog doesn’t stretch itself too thin, but also makes sure things are preserved. Their mating process calls upon their deep clockwork majjyks to decide who will go and who will not end. The loser’s presence fades away while the winner’s presence is imparted upon more territory and in their offspring.

Universal concept: Astral Plane

A universal concept for Heart

The Astral Plane is a realm wherein all identity is stored. It houses the soul of all things in their truest form. It is where the true essence of all things are located.

All players, carapacians, underlings and denizens Some game constructs All possible alchemical combinations

All of these things have source code, a fundamental piece of information. That source code comes from the Astral Plane where nothing can be created or destroyed, merely split or joined or converted/dissolved into something else.

General layout

The plane is near infinite and consists of millions of ever changing glowing columns. Some massive like a skyscraper, some like a house, and some like a mailbox. These pillars and columns are made from a crystal with their shape, design, and features being different depending on their nature. These crystal columns store the source codes of every unique, identifiable thing. Each crystal has a name plate that says their true name, making them easy to identify. Whenever a connection is made between souls, the energy from the crystals spark and create a link of flowing energy. When more lasting, permanent impressions are made, an orb of soul energy leaves a crystal and gets imparted by the crystal corresponding to the thing being spiritually affected.

There are many different types of crystals and they each reflect their source in size, density, color, and placement in relation to others.

The crystals for Breath players are usually floating, reflecting how their soul is not tied down The crystals for lonely people are usually situated in somewhat isolated meadows The crystals of Blood players are seen making connections very often, having multiple soul links and channels open at once

Larger, sturdier ones reflect key concepts and forces. They are almost always sending out orbs to create new pillars or making energy connections. Their soul is very “heavy” and “weighted” making them difficult to maneuver, but reliable. These are usually fundamental emotions like love, happiness, sadness, etc. and they are scattered all over the place. Genesis Frogs are the largest of all crystals. They are near impenetrable and house all of their own fundamental feelings as well as any soul within them.

When something is alchemized, the source code for those things join together. A floating orb of pure soul energy comes from their respective crystals and combine, making a new, charged crystal.

The general geography is like an infinite world. Fields, mountains, valleys, meadows, etc. The weather of this world is created by the flowing of emotions in the general area. Enough sadness in an area will make it rain, enough anger in an area will cause a storm, so on and so on

Player crystals

The pillars for players are about as tall as their respective player. These are unique for their adaptiveness and, if god tiered, aspect energy flows into them, permanently changing their shade and pattern.

When it comes to players, the Alpha takes precedence, reflected in the overall shape, color, energy level, and general aura. The essence of all timelines is stored within their crystal, though their unique signature will be buried further down.

When a Heart player splinters, their soul does exactly that. Their respective crystal sends out a small chunk of crystal, taking some of it’s energy with it. It splinters off, shaving some of itself off into a new entity, but is still very largely the same soul.

When a player permanently dies and floats through the Void as a ghost, they will eventually be absorbed by the Horrorterrors. When that happens, their crystal glows dimmer and begins to crack until their soul is gone, shattering the crystal into dust and small glowing particles that are absorbed and recycled into the crystals of anything the soul has come into contact with.

When a player goes grimdark, their crystal creates black sparks and makes black energy links with the nearby ground, reflecting the overpowering shadow majyyks infected the crystal, similar to uploading a virus to a computer

Sooo yeah! This is how Heart affects reality on a universal scale, storing the identity and essence of all things and keeping track of all souls in an organized chaos sort of way

Universal concepts

Subspace and the Shadow Realm

In quantum physics there is a concept where in agitated empty space, a particle and an antiparticle are created. Almost immediately after they touch and cancel each other out.

It’s like 1 - 1 = 0

1 is normal matter - 1 is anti matter 0 is nothing

And I was thinking about this as on a sort of universal scale

In the top left is reality, + 1 Sburb and universes and genesis frogs and all of that take place here

In the top right is the Shadow Realm, - 1 This is Void’s domain. An exact 1:1 copy of reality on a separate plane of existence. Void players travel through this when teleporting and summon void things from here Also the unseen domain of horrorterrors

In the bottom is Subspace, 0 Subspace as 0 has nothing and yet, the potential for everything. It is a white blank slate When Alt Calliope cracked Space (top right) she left nearby Paradox Space in the backdrop of Subspace, pure white

Void covers the Shadow Realm Light covers Subspace

Subspace Actual light, photons, have no charge. They equal themselves out. They are their own particle and anti particle. Since they are 0, that is why Subspace is pure white. It’s pure, raw light and nothing more. It’s simple infinite 0 Nothing and yet, the potential for everything

When something is erased from existence, it leaves it’s respective reality and collides with it’s opposite object, canceling out and sinking into the pure white of subspace where it lacks form, but gains in potential

When something is created, it is extracted from subspace, from that limitless information and ability to be known, and comes into existence in normal reality. Simultaneously, an anti form is made in the Shadow Realm since the Matter and Antimatter were separated

Within Subspace there are Skaian temples, massive pure white spheres that float around all willy nilly.

All information is stored within these libraries. Inside of them is a massively complex series of levers, switches, and radiance corresponding to light energy.

Information is stored as solid light, existing as a pure, material substance. This information, called insight, permeates throughout reality.

All things that emit information hold insight, allowing them to grab certain codes of info. The more insight and depth something has, the more code it can pull on, thereby gaining complexity.

Smart people have a lot of insight, whereas, say, simple rocks, do not

Shadowrealm An exact mirror to reality made from anti matter. There also pockets of the things which no longer exist, energy bubbles of canceled timelines (alternate Rose from Davesprite’s timeline) and things which no longer play a part in reality (destroyed Alternia) These are essentially Dream Bubbles for what is not remembered or relevant, basically the exact opposite point. I’m just going to call them Un-reality Bubbles for lack of a better term. The horrorterrors are the masters of this domain and pull failed sessions into it to to take that info and recycle their energy. The Dream Bubbles are the horrorterrors moving bubbles over, keeping that irrelevant moments preserved in normal reality instead of in the Shadow Realm.

Subspace This is Skaia’s domain. 0 and thus, infinity. A realm of pure white light where things pop into reality and back out as Subspace equals them out. Skaia is omniscient because Subspace is equal to 0. From 0, it shows all potential and possible things.

How Roxy’s summoning works Roxy strips the Void off of a thing. To create a thing, she focus in on the concept and pulls the Void out. She basically washes the concept off until normal thing is made Subspace is the setting for this. Suddenly a generic cube and anti-generic cube are made. As she focus on pulling it, the generic cube and anti-generic cube pop into both the Universe and Shadow realm, ensuring the shadow realm is still 1:1

When creating that which no longer exists, like the matriorb, she has to focus in on an Un-Reality Bubble. She sifts and scans through until she finds it. From there, she simply wipes off the Void majyyk keeping it there and pulls it out. (since it is merely caught in Void and not actually made from anti-matter) In Subspace, the shifting of a single item between the Universe and Un-Reality Bubbles would cause a duplicate to appear in Subspace so it can maintain equilibrium. It’s the basic idea of super position and Shrodinger’s cat. The matriorb exists in one universe, so Subspace wants it to exist in both or neither. Singular items with no matching universal sets could randomly appear in Subspace, only to disappear when the concept equals out.

Universal concept: The Garden and Lifeforce

The Garden is a realm of chaotic growth, where certainty shifts and evolves, developing into any possible form. Thick, winding bands of pure grist twist like skyscraper sized DNA models. The replication of this immense spiraling grist chain is what Genesis Frog breeding is founded on.

The realm has an constantly shifting ground and plant life that bend and shape into different forms and colors. The weather is sporadic and things never stay the same for long. The energy stored here as matter (rock, plants, etc) is reflective of the ever changing Paradox Space. The more growth in Paradox Space, the more chaotic The Garden becomes.

The energy contained within this realm and exerted upon reality is known as Lifeforce. Every living thing has it and whenever something grows or evolves, that is because energy from this field pushes things into their next step.

Sburb sessions When the world ends, a large portion of the energy comes here, evolving from a raw, basic state into a higher energy level, grist. All grist is meerly a packet of life force contained in a material form. Alchemy is done by taking two items and supplying them with the Lifeforce necessary to evolve. The vast production of grist in a session comes from the doomed home planet and will make sure players can grow and evolve into gods, but also to ensure there are enough nutrients for the Genesis Frog (from the Denizen hoards)

All of the genetic possibilities of the Genesis Frog stem from this vital process. (ie all possible cosmological development like the big bang, formation of stars, etc) All possible growth and development on a universal scale is due to universal lifeforce taking it’s course by copying the DNA in The Garden.

Players This is where the unique genetic capabilities of ectobiology come into play. Ectobiolgy is a way or harnessing the lifeforce within the players and super charging them. Ordinary humans have lifeforce limits, giving them thresholds. But, due to creation via paradox clone and a pure piece lifeforce, these thresholds are far, far greater. Their adaptation and evolution is hyper charged, allowing them to grow and develop. It’s like the growth notch was kicked up to 11 since they have far greater lifeforce than any other being. In addition to the copious amounts of lifeforce in their genes, it actually tappers off as a body double, another entity that stores a large amount of it until the game starts. The dream double. Dreaming selves are essentially Life containers and the awake activity of one sparks the development of lifeforce in the individual. From the moment this vessel awakens, the player’s lifeforce does as well. It’s a sort of activation switch that only occurs from intense stress, like say, the end of the world. Intense stressors in life or the start of Sburb activate the lifeforce within them.

It’s sort of like prematurely sparking the echeladder. Sure it’s a lot of strain and stress and makes the lifeforce build up kinda like a shaken soda can, but it will allow the player to spark superhuman abilities. Dave’s Bro was training him. Dave sparked feats of endurance and reflexes at the incredible cost of well being and abuse.

Dave, who had an intense abusive childhood, had a very active lifeforce that came with debilitating personal issues like ptsd and anxiety. He is very quick and dexterous though Dirk, who has been awake on Derse most of his life and 24/7, has to juggle 2 waking selves. This prolonged juggling has resulted in him being incredibly fast and agile.

Lifeforce makes the players superhuman, but typically only when the game starts. It manifests in many ways. Physical attributes are bolstered and the sheer human capabilities of the players are expanded as a reaction to whatever obstacle or stressor they face.

Rose was faced with a lot of stimulus and thus, her brain is a bit of a super computer when it cones to vast amounts of information. John was routinely trained with manly activities to boost his man grit and establish physical strength early, allowing him to swing massive hammers like they are a Breeze. Jade’s perception of reality is from a super charged sense of spatial awareness. Heightened senses might be a part of this, like amazing hearing.

Basically, the lifeforce within their body allows them to grow and develop into super humans, making the transitions to gods much easier as their body slowly becomes in tune with their aspects energy.

Echeladder The echeladder is a metric for lifeforce. Once the echeladder is activated it gives a way for the players lifeforce to have proper direction. It is scaled in two ways, combat and development. With combat, the player triggers stress. As a result, their lifeforce reacts and builds, making them scale the echeladder. Typically any extreme exertion can be used, but the unique situational stress and chaotic clash between forms of life makes growth significantly easier than say, weight lifting. Alternatively you can scale the echeladder by doing things relevant to your quest. The quest forces you to develop and mature, it’s a more sophisticated path wth personal and emotional development over simple stress like in combat.

In short Grist, the echeladder, ectobiology, the genesis frog, and universal progression is due to Lifeforce from The Garden pushing things to the next step

Universal concept: The Storm and The Blaze

The Blaze is an energy field of intense heat and wild, sporadic energy. This is the limitless source of Rage that pushes the Universe to move forward.

The Storm

The Storm is the home dimension of the Blaze where it is generated in infinite amounts, dolling out and absorbing Rage.

The Storm is a vast realm of just that. Storms. There are also earthquakes, volcanoes, blizzards, and all sorts of disasters here. It is a primordial place where energy is swirling and trying to break out. It is akin to a cosmic forge

This limitless energy is what the Blaze is

The Blaze

The Blaze’s vast, infinite energy is chaotic and sporadic, wanting to consume and move through all things. It is a repulsive force, causing paths to be forged by trailblazing and pushing forward. It imparts fire inside of all things as a way to fuel the churning of the universe. In nature, it manifests as storms, earthquakes, and all sorts of cataclysms. In Genesis Frogs, it manifests as things like supernovas and gamma ray bursts, churning the celestial waters. In people, in manifests as powerful emotions that push them forward. Love, hate, passion, etc. It causes restlessness and a primal urge to be like fire, to burn away the undesirable and using it fuel themselves further In society, it manifests as things like war and rioting, elevating and creating energy by burning away enemies and flaws

The Blaze is a primal force that burns and pushes forward, it permeates the universe with a need to viciously expand, relentlessly destroy, and blaze a new trail.

When you love with your entire being, that is the flame building and resting gently, so that it can burn brighter for longer When you can’t sleep and feel the strong desire to write or draw or make art or play a sport or do anything, that is because the flame inside will not die down When you want something so much it hurts, that is the flame requiring fuel

When you run in fear, your energy comes from here When your blood boils, the heat comes from here When you defend yourself, the power comes from here

Lies/Illusion/Falsehood

The Blaze sparks and burns at reality, bending reality to come through and unleash it’s energy. When the Blaze doesn’t connect to a host flame, it’s embers linger, creating illusions and falsehoods.

When a person’s embers flicker, they materialize as lies. The embers and smoke follow people around, obscuring and lightly burning, and if the Blaze has anything to say about it, the embers will rise up

Hot rage + Cold rage

Hot rage is made when an internal fire is stoked. It acts like a beacon for the Blaze, letting even the smallest fire become an inferno, summon forces and energy far beyond their normal control. It gives strength and power, but it is unwieldy and can cause embers and smoke to cloud vision

Cold rage is control over the Blaze, stripping it of it’s primal force, but harnessing it’s raw and powerful nature. The flame becomes not weak or small, but cold and tempered like metal, giving it proper shape and form

Hot rage, with heat, is red Cold rage, with cold, is blue

Mixed together they turn purple for Rage. Where hot and cold meet they become a storm, which is why the Blaze’s home dimension is called the Storm

The Blaze burns and destroys, for better or worst The Storm destroys and burns for a focused purpose. Storms occur to test the flame and see if it can rise to the occasion. If it can, it will grow to more than fire, energy and desire, it will become intent, will, and focus.

Fundamentally, all Rage stems from the Blaze. It is hot, cold, large, small, bright, and dark. It manifests as destructive and progressive energy, a primal force to act and push forward.

Universal concept: The Matrix

*DB, our local Mage of Doom helped a lot and ensured the concept of Doom water would be used*

A large a majority of the universe is strict code. Anything with definite shape, purpose, or mass of any kind has code.

Players Stars Rocks Everything

The Matrix is where the code is stored. Since a large chunk of reality is comprised of resetting Sburb sessions, all of those imprints need a place to draw energy from and respawn.

The Matrix is a vast realm flooded with thick, murky fluid similar to water. The geography of the realm is neat, organized, and precise. Black monoliths, steel structures, and stone temples rise from the cold, briny depths.

These structures correspond to all possible game structures, reflecting their cosmic certainty in existence. Every structure holds control over form.

Some constructs

Black orbs, the size of a basketball, are responsible for players staying player shaped, ie bipeds and other such factors. It contains all of the genetic code of every player species and ensures they remain as they are. Pure, consistent, and properly fitted for the job Sburb requires of them.

Sleek stone temple-like towers hold the archives of reality, keeping embedded files on all session information

The ground is made from something similar to black metal. From the metal rises all of these massive structures.

Death

The Matrix runs on certainty and death is the one of the only certainties shared by all things. All things die and when they do, part of that energy is transferred to the Matrix.

The black metal of the ground corresponds to death and finality, where certainty and dependence resides. Where that energy is stored in a solid form, helping shape the tangible universe. That energy gives the fundamental backbone for any structure, the processed code acting as a way to give precise, definite shape.

The way an atom is structured. The exact shape of DNA. All structure and stability arises from the recycled energy of things no longer existing. Matter can not be created nor destroyed, only changed. That is because of Doom

When Sburb is loaded the world ends. This destruction brings the energy and form of the world to the Matrix, giving it the necessary energy to run Sburb and all of it’s protocols.

Fate

The infinite complexities of the Doom water is where all of Fate is stored. Fate is a fluid. Thick, suffocating, and nearly impossible to work around. This is the deep eternal waters that create the backbone of Genesis Frogs. Genesis Frogs have an infinite Fate, which is why universal laws can not be broken

The depths of the realm grow darker and darker still until fate becomes reality and certainty. The upper levels where the sky should be, merely extends up into a grayish green ocean with glints of light peaking through.
