Ok I have thought about this A LOT and I have cast a lot of the characters HOWEVER, Ruby & everyone else her age/in twinford high should be played by unknown actors period. I know like “oh but more people would watch if it was a famous person in the lead role” that’s what the other actors would help with. A RR movie could be the break through that the Harry Potter actors who hadn’t been in anything before got! Emma Watson (one of my biggest stans you’ve probably picked up on that by now) huge household name, and HP was her debut.
Anyways just a rant
More Unknown (And Fitting) Actors For Disney Live-Actions
I’m frustrated, right now. I really like Naomi and Mena might be a good actor BUT I feel they’ve only been chosen because they’re somewhat famous. Probably were more people submitting their audition who are unknown to be public eye, look more and are more relatable to the characters than these two.
I think Disney should stop putting famous people in their live-action just because. Give the unknown actors, who are struggling to make it big, the chance to prove themselves. They won’t disappoint. Wanna know why? ‘Cause this is their dream. They’ll work harder than anyone else and they won’t disappoint, because this is what they’ve been waiting all their lives for.
Again, I like Naomi and Mena (don’t remember him in anything I’ve watched but must be a good actor) BUT I bet they’re more relatable and more, idk, more perfect (does this make sense) for the roles.
I hope this doesn’t blow. Remember the cast for Alice in Wonderland live-action. Johnny Depp? Awesome and perfect choice, he nailed the role. The girl who portrayed Alice? Not so much.
I wanted to Jasmine and Aladdin to be played by less known actors and/or fit (not fit in terms of body, fit in terms of fitting the character better) people for the role.
Again, just because someone is famous doesn’t mean they’re not perfect for the role. I’M JUST SAYING that unknown actors sometimes are more fitting for a character than them.
