The Lovestruct Ranger
You were a forest ranger, leaping through the forest vines. A white vision resting on your neck, like a necklace shining through the night sky.
You were not like other people who had common visions. You have one vision that people didn’t even know existed.
You are happy and thankful for this vision, as it helps guide you and others through the night.
You didn’t leap on vines but on light. A white vine being created by your hands. You fling yourself onto it, grasping on something that wasn’t even there. You start rocking the vine back and forth until you got the right velocity to jump onto another one.
You jumped onto another one, looking back and watching the other disappear.
You were in a rhythm, like a note in its holding place. A steady beat. 1, 2, 3, 4. You were smiling, enjoying every bit of this moment. Savoring the way your hair flowed in the wind, your body shivering from the cold night forest.
But moments like these always come to an end. You were in the village of Gandharva Ville, so you had to put an end to your fun.
It was in the middle of the night, you finished your patrol.
You saw Collei and Tighnari, waiting outside for you.
‘Maybe some moments don’t end at the very second.’ You thought.
Collei had a plate of Pita Pockets in her hands, smiling with closed eyes.
Tighnari had been playing with his ears, not noticing you standing there.
“Hey.” You said.
Your words seem to startle both of them, flinching at the sudden break of silence.
“Y/n!” Collei screamed.
“Quiet your voice, Collei. You’ll wake up the whole village.” Tighnari said.
Collei seemed to have poured at that sentence. You walked up the stairs to stand face to face to them.
“Come on, let’s go inside.” Y/n said.
Collei followed you inside, leaving Tighnari there. Smiling at the two people in front of him. He was happy to have a family, happy to see his friend, Collei and the person he fell in love with, Y/n.
He is happy for both of you, especially you, the light in his darkness.
“Master Tighnari! Get inside or you won’t have any Pita Pockets!” Collei yelled.
He walking inside to see you and Collei sitting at the table.
He had a family, a loving one. He would protect both of you with all his might.
“Come on babe, I’ll even give you half of my share.” You said.
“That’s something that’s worrying fighting for.” He said.
“Hey!” You said.
Tighnari starting laughing.
“Can we just have a normal dinner?! Without me third-wheeling everytime.” Collei said.
“Fine.” Tighnari said.
Tighnari looked at you, putting his hand in his pocket.
Fiddling with the ring inside it, ready to propose to you at just the right time.
He loves you, and you love him back. A perfect thing to share.
