dammit, I'm thinking about the possibility of adding more support for double-wardens in twinception again

not in the deep roads expedition---that definitely won't work, and if I weren't planning to use the debug to swap them both to wardens partway through juniper's playthrough I wouldn't even consider it but... it's only three cutscenes, right? demands of the qun, finding nathaniel, and the last straw, right...?

oo.. I saw that ask you just answered.... imagine trying to teach Childe important words- things like "help" or "injured" or anything in case there was danger, but its very difficult- the only words hes caught onto were "snuggle" and "kiss" even though you never deliberately taught him. Its a little hard to tell if hes using the words right sometimes- hell bring you stuff and be like, "kiss?" and you show him things and hell be like, "kiss?" but should you give him a little forehead kiss for instance, he'll happily exclaim it. "kiss! snuggle!"

I like the idea of him at first using it this way, and then later on he uses it as a way to ask permission... like if you come home one day and you seem angry, you might see him curiously looking at you from some doorways, trying to look small, and come over and ask, "snuggle?"

i will admit,,,, i'm guilty of hoarding this ask for a few days because i love it so damn much

think about it,,,, the first time it happens. it's been a VERY long day for you at work and you just barely avoided getting rained on during your walk home. still, your hair is damp and your face has settled into a scowl as you finally open your front door and take off your jacket. Childe pokes his head around the corner, observing how tense your shoulders and movements are, and makes his way over so when you turn, he's looking you directly in the eyes. he's got your attention now, so he gently presses his forehead to yours and mumbles "snuggle?"

it takes a few moments for it to settle in that he just spoke to you, Childe just SPOKE to you, and you gape at him in surprise. he repeats the word, nudging your cheek this time, and you blink out of your stupor and nod. he trills in delight and carries you off to your room, still in shock and wondering HOW he learned that word of all words?? you've been trying to no avail to teach him phrases that could help in life or death situations yet he choses "snuggle" of EVERYTHING.

then again, maybe that's just what he thinks is most important, snuggling and loving you with all his heart.
