You also have the option of getting your remains turned into a vinyl record, which could be playing your favorite music (or your voice - nice chance for inspirational words to your loved ones).
That sounds awesome.... but very few people have the means to play a vinyl record.... so that would sort of be lost. I'd probably end up in a pile at Salvation Army or something.
I figure that the tree would be better because then I can provide shade to those who need it (eventually), provide fresher air, and eventually provide a home to those who need it.

This is how I feel about The Giving Tree.
yeah the little fable was similar to the giving tree
except worse because the people the character encountered literally stole from them and maliciously exploited them
and the character was only happy about this, to be left to die with nothing
and yet that is a model for us to base ourselves around...somehow

Y’all need to watch Gatiss & co in ‘The League of Gentlemen’.
Does it involve accidentally fucking your cousin?

The Japanese sounded as much like Japanese as any of the others did.
lol yeahhhh
i mean the french gibberish sounded quite a bit like french like if you weren't paying attention or didn't know it - i've studied a little french and i thought it sounded similar
but the japanese was TOTALLY off. the english was fairly accurate but she also used english words so...it's sort of cheating??? i can't really speak on the others because im not very familiar with them at all.
either way the video was racist so yeah
I want you to know that I finished watching Pushing Daisies for the first time and HOW DO I COPE WITH NO MORE EPISODES?!? HOW?!? This is totally YOUR FAULT for reblogging adorable gifsets from the show that made me decide to check it out (THANK YOU SO MUCH THAT SHOW IS A GIFT TO HUMANITY I JUST CANNOT EVEN). (Also now I need a Supernatural crossover just for Dean's everything when he encounters the Pie Hole for the first time.)
OH MY GOD YOU MIGHT THINK YOU'RE JOKING ABOUT THE PUSHING DAISIES/SPN CROSSOVER BUT
Baking for the Dead by Trolllogic: In which the girl called Chuck and the Pie Maker run across the brothers Winchester and a soul stealing demon. (PG, 2,000 words.) There is also a lovely podfic by FayJay!!!
Also, I AM FULLY PREPARED TO TAKE CREDIT FOR YOU WATCHING PUSHING DAISIES BECAUSE IT IS A MIRACLE SHOW MADE OF MAGIC AND UNICORNS AND DELICIOUS PASTRY. I'm so glad you started watching it, and I'm delighted that you love it as much as I do!! (The lack of new episodes never stops being devastated, though, sadly. I'm no help on that front.)

did you point them to the Vanity Fair article? Motherfucker abused the shit out of that child; his religion, ethnicity, artistic sensibilities and day job do not have one shred of bearing on the fact that he is a predatory shitweasel.
The worst part is it wasn't even about his guilt or innocence. It was about whether his movies can still be enjoyed free from the baggage of the whole controversy. I was saying, per that "rewatching Woody Allen" article I reblogged yesterday, that the movies themselves have all the same problems regardless of whether the fuckhead actually did anything or not. The asshats arguing with me kept coming at me against arguments I never made and resorted to all the evasive, goalpost-shifting tactics white cishet boys are so prone to. It was horrendous.
On the bright side, a number of people either sent me supportive messages, jumped in on my side, or even just liked the comments on the side of the Good Fight, which was really affirming and nice.

O_o oh my god I am so sorry you had to deal with that bullshit. (This is precisely why I do not post anything political on FB. People are stupid.)
Thing is, I post political stuff on fb all the time and 99.8% of the time it's COMPLETELY FINE. Such is the power of rape apologist culture.
WHOOOOO SETTLING DOWN NOW
just reread The Student Prince for the fifth time freaking out what a beautiful story still making little screams because I AM JUST SO HAPPY when the prince of Wales comes out to the country on Christmas Eve nothing can express my emotions and how it's for the queer community and FayJay is queer and I'm queer oh gosh I always cry.
