To add to the list of Vox being a copycat, is it the studio's creative decision to make some of his songs reprises of previous songs sang by other characters? Rosie's "Don't You Forget" vs Vox's "Don't You Forget (Reprise) which Alastor sang in both, also Lucifer's part in "Vox Populi" which he turned to his version in "Vox Dei". To me it's giving revamp attempt, taking something previously done before & making a "grander", better version that is his own versions of those songs.

I watched the Clifford remake trailer recently, and I literally started weeping, I'm not even kidding. I have since had time to process my feelings. Here they are.

Emily Elizabeth is bullied. Okay, sure, I guess...and she has no parents now? WHY???? Just once, I would like a family movie that has some sweet, supportive, living pair of parents, please.

Clifford looks BIZZARE. To clarify: the red color just does not work in live action. In the cartoon, making him red makes plenty of sense, because it's a cartoon. All of Clifford's dog friends were weird colors too: one was yellow, one was lilac, and one was blue. In the trailer, the big red dog looks painfully out of place, his fur looking like it's been dipped in ketchup, his empty, big eyes.

They had to spell out the fact that Clifford grows because Emily Elizabeth loves him. It's called SUBTEXT, folks! Show don't tell! Kids aren't stupid!

Clifford already has a movie. It's called Clifford's Big Movie, and I remember enjoying it very much. It had some earwormy songs that live in some corner of my brain even now. Also, it has the same voice cast as the cartoon. Another reason why this movie is pointless.

If one has to do a Clifford remake, why not make it 3d animated? The red wouldn't look off then, and it could be very charming.

I know why not: because the studio is trying to get people like me to see it, and they think live action is more "adult." I would like some of my childhood favorite NOT bastardized for nostalgia, thank you. Imagine a Curious George remake... (Shudder)

Heheh, loving all the Easter Eggs in the prisoner's possessions rooms. There's Knuckles' OVA hat, some random spiked mace, and even Dark Enerjak's claws from the Sonic Universe issues (the number code even references the issues he appeared in!)

There's also a spiked hammer, though different from Rosy the Rascal's one with her massive spikes. If its not that Amy's, then it could only have belonged to...

Why can’t Hollywood go back to original films?

The creator of Winnie the Pooh probably didn’t expect lots of TV cartoons and films and toys inspired by his characters.

The Wachowskis probably never expected The Matrix to be as successful as it was.

The insecure creator of Attack on Titan never expected his manga to become world famous.

The creators of Sponge bob, Fairly odd Parents, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and Codename Kids next Door never expected their cartoons to be the most yearned after in these sad unfortunate near unoriginal years we live in.

Everything seemed so much simpler then. (Not simpler moral wise unfortunately, and I’m ignoring the films that thought it was funny have those morals)

Thank goodness for the creators of Kingsmen, John Wick, Regular Show and The Wonderful World of Gumball. And of course Get Out; I can't remember anyone ever making a horror with the theme of racism!

There's more examples, but Hollywood is very unoriginal and is such a far cry from its Golden Era. At least indie moviemakers of every nationality, not just American or British are original.

P.S Follow in the footsteps of the Beauty and the Beast Live action and the new It. Remakes done right, because they are faithful as well as mixing ORIGINALITY.
