Life is too much sometimes. FML. Schrödinger's inbox. That slack ‘click’ sound. Traumatic response. Click. Read. Unread. Star. Favourite. Attention. Gimme. Your phone says. This Red dot dictates your life. A call to open. Close it. The numbers only ever go up. There’s more here than in my bank balance. WTF. I can’t take this anymore.

i love the concept of unread emails so bad but i just do not have the motivation nor the creativity for it anymore. ill give it a couple more days before dnf’ing it completely, just to see if the motivation comes back!
just overheard my spouse say to his d&d party: “my wife has like 65,000 unread emails in her inbox—is she a threat, or is she a menace??”
My inbox is sitting at an even 500 unread emails and I am rediculously proud of that.
I have two phases of my life right now:
1 - when I cared about reading every email that comes into my inbox right as I get them.
2 - when I look at my inbox after several weeks and have 50+ unread emails and just don’t have the will to deal with it.
