The apocalypse had been handled. They could do something if they actually worked together. None of them were handling everything perfectly, but to ask perfection of the Hargreeve’s siblings was laughable. Even as children who were paraded in front of the press they were hardly as perfect as their father wished they were. There was only so much, he Allison, and Klaus could do back then when trying to make sure conversations didn’t veer sideways, or hints at their upbringing remained positive because they didn’t know better.
Now was a time to relax, and Five was honestly a bit antsy about it. He felt like it wasn’t over. Not with him averting the apocalypse. Every other day he checked where he landed in the apocalypse to make sure he didn’t pop up from the past. He was being cautious, that part of the timeline wasn’t fucked, but he also didn’t know just how far ahead of April first he landed. He could figure it out, it had been pointed out to him, but he needed to physically go out and do something. He had to.
With the stop of the Apocalypse, came something else that happened because of their father’s death. There was an uptick in press. Which meant people were interested in the siblings again. That did not help Five’s paranoia. It was easy for a Commission Agent to hide within the press, he would know. He had done it. And they bugged him, especially as their was a focus on him since he had returned. It brought up a whole slew of issues. Allison said they had to address it soon before it got too far out of hand. And in recent years she had the most experience with press. He trusted her judgement. Until then though, he was ignoring them.
But as stated not all who were with the press, and who stood with them, were actually press. He was checking his the spot he appeared in the Apocalypse in, when he felt the pair of eyes on him. He rolled his eyes, and Blinked across the street to the stranger, “There a reason you find that spot so interesting?” he said playing it coy as he Blinked behind the person, having no qualms about using his powers in public. He decided to not outwardly accuse them because he could be wrong, it wasn’t often, but it was a possibility.
