With the city still in half-ruin, it was strange to even be back, standing on top of the wall in the shadow of their former tower. Leaning against the rail, Diego’s eyes shifted from the hazy buildings and instead towards the exo that he’d come to stand beside -- Blaise, who’s blue eyes gazed down but seemed distant.
He’d heard about what was happening between Blaise and Dallas, to a point, mostly second-hand. There was a point where he would have been excited beyond believe to hear that it was happening -- that the Wonder Couple was falling apart. But now, he couldn’t find the energy to feel happy about it.
If anything -- he felt bad for Blaise. Even though he was an exo, Diego could see the sadness etched into the warlock’s face. Something that he could relate to. Letting out a large huff from his nostrils, he searched for words, ones that weren’t as sharp and spiteful as usual.
“He really is stubborn when he wants to be, isn’t he?” The wall -- the city it protected -- had always been Dallas’ priority. But even knowing that, Diego was sure that Blaise was still hurting as his husband chose to be down there instead of with him.
