Et tu Brute
I am disappointed, aghast, betrayed!
I spend a WHOLE BOOK waiting for Simon to pop a Maya Angelou quote, break up with Baz, and then realize he's being an idiot.
If that's how you start the book Rowell, that's how you better darn well finish it!
I love the whole Post-Traumatic-Chosen-One-Disorder story. It's a great way to add conflict to the character and their relationships. The whole vampire heritage thing with Baz was good too. I would have prefered a softer betrayl for an angstier close to that story- but it was fine.
Penny, Agatha, and Shepard 's storylines also get passing grades.
What I'm bad about is that Rowell just cut off the ending to her book to make a play for the third one.
I DON'T NEED CLIFFHANGERS TO READ ANOTHER SIMON&BAZ BOOK. I LOVE THEM TO FUCKING DEATH. THAT'S WHY I READ THIS ONE. WHAT I LOVE MOST ABOUT THEM IS THAT IN THE END, THEY ALWAYS COME BACK AND CHOOSE EACHOTHER!!
