This tag is to get to know the person behind the blog better. As with any tagging game there are rules:

1. Who is your one true OTP from your top 4 fandoms? 

Yikes! I am truly terrible at picking favorites--I hate decisions! I'm going to go with my top 4 fandoms of the moment for this one:

1) Doctor Who -- Amy/Rory. They are just perfect. End of story. 

2) Supernatural -- This one is more complicated. I totally ship Destiel as my brOTP. I know this may get me into a lot of trouble in Tumblr-land, but I don't ship them romantically. I just don't see it from either of them. That said, I believe that they have a fierce love for one another, and I love that about them--that they can still can still have that much love, and trust, and faith in another person after all that they both have been through (individually and together). (Sorry, I just have a lot of feels about Dean and Castiel. I'll be quiet now).

3) LoTR -- Aragorn/Arwen. I think I ship this so hard because my real ship is Aragorn/Happiness. (A very very close second is Faramir/Eowyn, because they both deserve the love they give one another). 

4) New Girl -- Okay, New Girl isn't one of my favorite fandoms, but since we're talking about OTPs I had to include it. I ship Nick/Jess so hard it hurts. 

2. What is your favourite fandom and why? 

Doctor Who definitely takes the cake. I love how diverse the fandom is. You have people who have been watching the show from the very beginning. You have people who have only seen New!Who. You have people who are a combination of both. And all of them are just enthusiastic about the show. They want to share favorite moments and swap theories and play dress up and just generally enjoy each other's company. It's fantastic. 

3. What movie do you think best embodies your childhood? (Basically the one you rewatched over and over again?) 

Definitely Beauty and the Beast. "I want adventure in the great, wide, somewhere. I want it more than I can tell." I still identify with Belle far more than is probably healthy. 

4. If you could live in any city or country, where would you live? 

Cardiff, Wales. Now, you have to understand that I say this without ever setting foot in Cardiff, or even out of the Continental United States, for that matter. But Wales has always intrigued me. Plus, I really want to learn Welsh. 

5. The Doctor is giving you one ride on the TARDIS. Where and when would you go? 

Too many choices! I'd probably ask The Doctor to take me to his favorite place/time. It's more fun when you don't know where you're going, isn't it? 

6. What song will you never tire of? 

Right now I have to say Murder in the City by The Avett Brothers. You can probably also add anything by Mumford and Sons to this list. And most Disney songs. And October by Eric Whitacre. I have a lot of music love. 

7. What is the one thing that will always make you happy? 

Is it sad if I say cake? Because cake. I mean, there are lots of other things, but cake is a pretty safe bet. 

8. What is the best prank you’ve ever pulled? And if you’re not a trickster, what is the best prank someone has ever pulled on you? 

Though I'm not personally a huge trickster, I do enjoy being in on pranks. In middle school that was definitely the lifeblood of my GT class. Putting a bunch of "creative smart kids" in a room together is a recipe for disaster. At one point we had a slew of substitute teachers for about 2 weeks, and we were just awful. We made one cry, we convinced one that Wednesday was "cupcake day" and she BROUGHT US CUPCAKES, we got one to give us  hall passes to "walk" the halls for exercise. It was a good 2 weeks. That was also the year that Laura (who ended up as our valedictorian in high school) and I skipped 80% of science class everyday to film the afternoon announcements. We still made the highest grades in the class. Oh man, eighth grade was awesome. I hate being a real life adult. 

9. What’s your greatest fear? The thing that never fails to make you shudder? 

Failure. That may not be exactly what the question is asking, but it's certainly my greatest fear. It's something that I've been trying very hard to work through over the past couple of years, because I have a tendency to let my fear of failure become an excuse to stop trying, which is really kind of stupid. 

10. What is a talent that you have. No being modest here, everyone has that one thing that they’re good at. :) 

I tap dance. I used to be much better at it (you know, when I had class every week from the age of three to seventeen) but I'm still okay. It's one of those things that when I do it the world melts away and everything is just the music and the rhythm and I'm in control of my life, if only for three or four minutes at a time. 

I also play the flute (and yet again, I was much better when I was in high school and was playing competitively).

11. What is the best vacation you’ve ever been on? And if you haven’t had any good ones, what is your dream vacation? 

Most of the vacations I've had in my life have been family vacations, and those have a tendency to be less relaxing than stressful. I think that vacation that really was the best vacation was Galveston 2011 with the Lamu crew after graduation. It was a week of perfect relaxation with my best friends, the beach, sangria, and a few too many trips to the Strand for taffy and used books. It was also the last time our group has been all together since we moved away from campus. Sigh.
