Living in modern times Urbania - here: we are so urban!
I simply love this place out in Schwanheim Unterfeld, when I can look over the field, see the horses, listen to church bells, where time seems to be just a thing that's happening, but nothing which sets me under pressure. The longer I live, the more I realize that time outside, out in the fresh air, just biking, moving because of my own muscles power, is the REAL quality time. Move around in the outside as often as you can. That is what living is about!
Living in modern times Urbania - here: out in Sossenheim Unterfeld...
Well, I talked about this before - one of the things, that make me say I do live in a beautiful city, is, that there are places like this here: a whole lot of nothing around me, somewhere some birds calling or twittering, only very view people in this area and 80% of them, coming around here, are able to respond to an 'Hallo'... I love Sossenheim Unterfeld!
Family Swan, swimming in the water. Frankfurt, river Nidda, Sossenheimer Unterfeld. By the way - I hate the news, that Harry Rowohlt died yesterday evening. He translated for example winnie the pooh into German, he made it literature in German! And his voice… This dark, eversounding voice… sigh! Bye, Harry. Thanks for never try to make people ‘grown ups’!
Sometimes there seems to be no time for the ‘I’ inside me, just because there is such a lot of things to do. In those times I often go by bike from one date to the next. The time on the bike is 'my time’. It’s because there are so many places and spaces in this city, where I can feel comfortable with myself. Actually it’s Sossenheimer Unterfeld on this photography, a real big area with river Nidda in the center, where there are fruit trees, other trees, fields, horses and a whole lot of nothing. When I stop the bike and all I can hear is the big storm of the day, but nothing else, it’s more intense than any hanging around at home can ever be… all in all the City of Frankfurt is around 40% green area, forests, fields, acres, whatever. I hope, it’ll be like that for a long, long time…
Nidda. Frankfurt. Between Sossenheim and Nied.
