Cam'ron & Charli Baltimore - Kool Kid Freestyle

I seem to get more emails asking about DJ Kool Kid tapes than anything else.  This can be easily attributed to the fact that his mixtapes fall in that highly sought-after coordinate of the desirability graph: where the x-axis of quality meets the y-axis of scarcity.  To break it down for the dummies: he had joints on those tapes you just won't find anywhere else!

Take this freestyle for example: origins and intended purposes unknown, from the Untertainment power couple Killa Cam & Charli B-More.  They must have shared an affinity for the sound of an opening hi-hat, as this recording plays like the dress rehearsal for the "Incarcerated Scarfaces" freestyle they contributed to Funkmaster Flex's 60 Minute of Funk: Volume 3.  Only this is an even more stripped down drum loop without so much as even a hint of melody; just Cam & Charl spitting sans adlibs or doubles, straight raw.
