Hiii just some stupid thoughts to think abt because I'm not a super genius de meta like some of you -> compliment. I thought the portraits were done by different artists but now I learn that it's all led by the same artist so I was kind of wondering why some portraits are more detailed than the others, the colour palette etc etc., I went to the wiki and checked the portraits and turns out it's pretty cool !!!
Like, at first playthrough you'd probably won't notice but at second or third you'll notice that some of the portraits have repeating patterns I just so happen to pick up the most basic ones. Ever . So enjoy I guess or not:
1. Anyone under the Union has a plain white and red background -- excluding Evrart because he's one of the higher ups it's the opposite -> But ruby doesn't have it so I'm guessing she doesn't want to be part of it or be known to be part of it
2. Cryptofascists have that symbol on the back
3. Somehow skull measurer's face is in the back of the babe which I find funny
4. Very rarely are there portraits without lineart or at least some kind of sketchy lineart, the three rare instances are Tiago [ i think it counts ], Pryce, and the Phasmid
5. Moralists usually has a plain background (?)
6. Siileng and Joyce share the same stripey blue background
7. Trant, Joyce, Sunday friend, and Siileng also share a similar blue colour
8. I think every Precinct 41 member is coloured in a very dull and dark way, opposite to 57 which are still colourful
6. Portraits of quieter children are usually less clear than the louder ones (?)
7. Lightbending guy and Dolores both having colourful inverted shading and Skull measurer's inverted shading, kinda like a god complex ?
8. Kim's portrait obviously being colourful and has a halo but also showing the scars he got from the tribunal etc etc
9. Paledriver's lineart being covered with white line noises, her looking like she's part of the background
10. Pryce being the most realistic looking out of all of them
11. Dead or dc abigail n pigs type of people look way more loose
12. Both Deserter and Harry having yellow cyan white as their background but Deserter's is more desaturated altho this is a big big stretch
13. Won't talk abt tribunal guys much other than they have under lighting
