........i just remembered i had a dream that i was rating the rbr race suits out of 10 (just 2009-2014). i don’t remember my dream ratings (except for 2009 maybe), so in the cold light of day (haha), here goes i guess:

- 2009: 7/10, i like the stripes but it also reminds me of pjs

- 2010: 6.5/10, the 0.5 star is for sentimental affection for the wdc; i think it looks okayyyy but i feel like there’s too much light blue and it makes it look a bit daggy or something

- 2011: 9.5/10! contains tiny twink waist! has cute little belt! loses half a star because i prefer the red Total logo on top of the yellow Rauch, which brings me to...

- 2012: 10/10!!! sentimental favourite because this is the year i properly started watching. also has cute tiny belt, and the logos are in my preferred order. also, like 2011, i just think the ratio of red and white to dark blue is good

- 2013: 8.5/10, i like the purple but most of the points lost are because there’s no more belt to accentuate seb’s tiny waist :( (as an aside though, the 2013 team gear is my fave because of the white trimming. 10/10 for that. (7.5/10 for 2012′s, and... i’m not too clear on what they had in 2011, but 10/10 for that super cosy hoodie that seb wore a few times (most notably on top gear), if i could’ve bought that i would’ve))

- 2014: 2/10. ugly as fuck. same goes for the teamwear too (i give it 1/10)

i see the bachelor trash show is now the bachelorS... seb, kimi and jenson in a bachelors AU when (slow burn, seb/kimi, seb figures out he’s bi, kimi already knows he’s bi, jenson......................... hmm idk lol; alternatively, seb/kimi/jenson, rejecting all the girls~)

am suddenly considering how vettonso might be a really great love/hate ship, esp re the former in light of abu dhabi 2022 where fernando seemed to just have a great outpouring of emotion like he was keeping it bottled up for years lmao. i mean, i always saw it as a ... hate!relationship, and i always found it interesting to read, though i don’t ship them (wow yes i do read things i find interesting even if i don’t ship them), but now maybe vettonso might be just that bit more interesting if it’s love/hate... (why did i think of haladriel, is it one of THOSE ships)

i think i was going somewhere with this. but it’s 3am and the world cup is on and i’m sleepy so i can’t hold thoughts together very well. but, you know, i remember fernando being (one of?) the first to go over and congratulate seb at monza 2008, so... maybe i feel like fernando is one cranky egotistical bitch who thought he should’ve won more championships than seb, but didn’t, but now he’s leaving and it’s all okay

as is traditional now (although i can't find the one i made last year) here's my ranking of the 2022 grid now that the season is over

not that it matters to anyone but for the next week or so i won’t be checking the seb tracked tag but just a few people’s blogs instead for my seb content becaaaause there have been soooo many posts on seb’s retirement to the point that it’s starting to annoy me and i’m starting to be like ‘just go already’ which is not exactly what i actually feel skjfnkfkfgkf. like, you can post all you like about that and that’s fine, but so many people are doing it and i don’t want to see it anymore

but then i started to ponder why i’m not so bothered that he’s leaving, and i think it’s because 1. i only sporadically watch f1 now, 2. i like seb but not in the same way as in the rbr days when i used to think the sun shone out of his arse; i LIKE him but, 3. possibly i like rbr!seb more than am!seb. am!seb is lovely and has grown up so well but i’m still more attached to the racing-is-everything singlemindedness must-win rbr!seb, i guess that’s because i relate to that better. i did also like the little nuggets of wisdom rbr!seb used to drop. am!seb drops beautiful lines about hanna meanwhile and less about how to live your life (or whatever it was), and ngl i am not as left as seb is when it comes to environmental issues. i respect that he’s passionate about it though. but i’m not one of those people who looks to famous people as a bunch of viewpoints and makes sure mine align with theirs, and then get angry when they support something i don’t. after all they’re just people, not someone to put on a pedestal, and maybe this is why i’m comparatively fine with seb just leaving and going to do something else. he’s just... a person first and foremost, not ... idk, an embodiment of f1? probably it helps though that i don’t watch f1 so dedicatedly anymore. (on the other hand, maybe i’ve entirely missed the point.)

DUNNO. it feels like whoever’s gonna read this is gonna be mad at me now, but like... maybe i’m just getting old, or more likely i’ve just stopped being so fandomly passionate about what i like. idk why i’ve become this way. maybe i’ve tried so hard to just shrug and move on about things that i would’ve gotten mad/upset about in the past that now i can’t stop doing it to the point that it’s read as apathetic. but idk, i’d say this is better than the way it was in 2012-2014 when f1 used to either boost or utterly ruin my mental health for at least 24 hours after each race, to the point that i took like a 6 year break from it and came back all chill and apathetic lol.
