me, naive, 4 pages into the epilogue: haha I don’t remember dirk being like this but it’s been a while I guess
me, exactly 5 pages later: oh god
every time I think about dirk I feel like maybe he’s not quite as bad as we make him out in canon but uh. wow he really is huh.
wow this epilogue is uh
im in the camp that the ending was bad and the comic itself has been poorly written with bursts of alright stuff for a while, decide whether you wanna talk to me about it based on that.
I somehow get really Narnia-esque feeling abt this ending
Like the old universe gets destroyed, you go through a door to a paradise and live happily ever after
it sucked as an end but it was fantastic as an animation and an update in its own right and mostly im just trying not to lose my shit over a massive part of my life being over
and the fandom goes “can you please end homestuck, for real now” and hussie goes “no. in fact, i’m gonna end it on a cliffhanger. and you’re gonna be confused for 413 years.” and we go “why are you doing this to us” and he goes “because we’re hussie airlines, and life is a fucking nightmare”
